Ralph Sherman Palmer was born on 14 November 1858 at Sycamore Twp., Wyandot Co., OH.1 He was the son of Charles S. Palmer and Louise Pittenger.2 Ralph Sherman Palmer married Mary Alice Coby, daughter of Joseph Coby and Sarah Catherine Wendel, on 14 April 1881 at Seneca Co., OH, 1900 census erroneously shows eight children born to the marriage, seven living as of the 1900 census. The "7" was marked over to show "8", which was correct -- the total number of children born as of that date was nine, with Ethel having died in 1884, and Pansy was omitted from the list of children -- thus the confusion.
