The surname "Patton" is consistent with several Scots-Irish families living in colonial Frederick/Dunmore/now Shenandoah County. However, no documentation has been cited to substantiate the marriage of Peter Swartz Sr., moreover, the marriage of a German Lutheran to a Scots-Irish Presbyterian would have been an unusual event in the timeframe of this marriage -- therefore the identity of this person remains unproven and subject to revision if additional facts are discovered.      Leota Irene Patty was born circa 1919 at Kansas.¹ She was the daughter of Elmer Francis Patty and Gertrude A. Paradee.¹ Leota Irene Patty married Carl Fredrick Hopper, son of Garret Rudolph Hopper and Bonnie Marie Starr, Leota remarried to Robert F. Gleason 17 SEP 1994, Clark County, Nevada. Leota Irene Patty died on 6 June 2009 last residence Winnemucca, NV.²

     Achsa Mae Paul was born on 11 April 1891 at Ogle Co., IL. She married William H. Kness on 10 December 1911 at Brookville, Ogle Co., IL. Richardson and Rachel Elizabeth Hensel, on 10 March 1917. Herman Scott Paul died on 1 December 1973 at Huntington, Huntington Co., IN, at age 79.

Later re-married to Andrew Stacey and was residing at Wyoming, Hamilton County, Ohio during 1930 - 1940. Josephine Ray Paul died after 15 April 1940. She was buried at Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, Clark Co., OH.

     Lola Dell Paul was born in 1885 at Elnora, Daviess Co., IN. She married Clarence Elson Wilkin, son of Thomas Winter Wilkin and Lucinda Runyon, in June 1904.
