He was 4 years, 10 months, and 16 days old.
Memorial services conducted by Rev. Volney D. Lofgreen were held Sunday in the Clarksville (Mo.) Christian Church at 2 o'clock. With Mrs. A. W. Luke at the organ, Mrs. David Niekirk and Paul Griffith sang, "In the Garden" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus".
James is survived by his parents; a sister, Rosalind; his grandparents, Mr.and Mrs. Roland Pellikaan, who cared for him during his long illness; great-grandfather, Charles Lewis Pellikaan of Rolla; several uncles and other relatives. Casketbearers were Charles and Raymond Henley,Jr., Bill Lovell, and Met Bryant.
Internment was in the Louisiana Memorial Gardens, south of Louisiana, Pike Co., Missouri. (James was later reinterred in Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, Pike Co., Mo.)
