Grace Emma Kitzmiller, 70, of 1670 Reed Creek Drive, Bassett, died March 7, 2001 at her home.
Born April 4, 1930 in Sullivan County, Tenn., her parents were the late Sarah Wyatt Phillips and the late James Butler Phillips. Also, preceding her in death were brothers, Albert and Wiley Phillips; and three sisters, Ruth and Ethel Phillips and Edith Arnold.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
Surviving are her husband, Keyes Kitzmiller of the home; four sons, Robert Kitzmiller of Danville and Randy Kitzmiller, Rickey Kitzmiller and David Kitzmiller, all of Bassett; two sisters, Odlean Cox of Bristol, Tenn., and Edna Shaffer of Barbton, Ohio; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six nephews; and five nieces.
The family will receive friends at Bassett Funeral Service from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today, and other times at the home at 1670 Reed Creek Drive, Bassett.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel at Bassett Funeral Service with the Rev. James Thomas of the Open Door Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
She was buried in March 2001 at Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville, Henry Co., VA.

She is survived by: son, Ray Cox and wife, Paula of Bristol Tennessee; grandchildren, Heather and husband, Mark Sluder, Sabrina Cox and Melanie Stone;
step- grandchildren, Lee Rapson, Isaac Rapson, Jennifer Dhoughe and husband, Jeff; step-great-grandchildren, Harley and Jason; sister-in-law, Virginia Phillips; brother-in-law, Keys Kitzmiller; several nieces and nephews; and
special friend, Helen Jackson.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jess Neal, Rev. Tony Hamby and Rev. Jimmy Phillips
