LINCOLN -- (PNS) -- Thomas N. Baughman, 67, Broadwell, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday in Broadwell. He lived with his brother, David. He was born in Logan county, Oct. 2, 1877, son of Ezra H. and Lucinda Galbreight (sic) Baughman. He never married.
Mr. Baughman followed the trade of a carpenter.
Survivors include the following sisters and brother: Mrs. Lillie Avery, Nunica, Mich; Mrs. J. W. Broughton, Salem, Ore; Mrs. Fred Meredith and Mrs. W. J. Welch, Tulsa, Okla; David Baughman, Broadwell. Two brothers, Samuel and Simeon, preceded him in death.
The body was taken to Wright Funeral home where it will remain until the hour of services, which will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union cemetery.

She was a former elementary school teacher in Johnson City.

The governor invited the mayors of a number of Tennessee cities to the breakfast to discuss the highway safety program.
The mayor flew to Nashville Wednesday and was expected to return Thursday night.

She was buried in May 1982 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Kingsport, Sullivan Co., TN.

Milton DeVault Buys Interest in Holston Coal
Milton DeVault, local young man and former star athlete of Kingsport High School, has purchased and interest in the Holston Coal Corporation of this city, it was announced yesterday. Mr. DeVault and Cam A. King, another member of the firm, are now in active charge of the concern.

DeVault Attends Governor's Meet
City manager D. W. Moulton said Mayor Milton DeVault was to be a guest of Governor Frank Clement Thursday morning for breakfast.
The governor invited the mayors of a number of Tennessee cities to the breakfast to discuss the highway safety program.
The mayor flew to Nashville Wednesday and was expected to return Thursday night.

Helen Louise Baum was born on 21 October 1909 at Vermilion Co., IL.1 She was the daughter of Chester Molt Baum and Nora Helen Gibbs.1 Helen Louise Baum married Glen Theodore Smith, son of Theodore Thomas Smith and Mabel Roe, on 14 July 1931 at Rossville, Vermilion Co., IL, one child to this marriage. Helen Louise Baum died on 20 October 2003 at Champaign, Champaign Co., IL, at age 93. She was buried in October 2003 at Spring Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Danville, Vermilion Co., IL.
