On account of blindness and debility attending old age, she was unable to sign and execute a release to brother John, at the time he paid the last of said money due, which was paid in my presence and at the same time heard my mother acknowledge the receipt of all of said money and express her satisfaction to said John for the payment of same, and whereas I am legatee and sole heir under the last will and testament of my mother, Elizabeth Price, deceased, and therefore as an act of justice to my said brother, John Price, Administrator as aforesaid, knowing that said money was paid by him as aforesaid and which if not, would rightfully belong to me," etc.
