Norma Elaine Priest Kennett 86, of Indianapolis, passed February 6, 2011. She was born September 22, 1924 in Portland, IN, the daughter of the late Eber Jared and Jesteene (Gross) Priest.
She was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church. Norma attended Taylor University, and graduated from the University of Michigan as an RN. She was a graduate of Indiana University, where she received her Bachelor's in Nursing (1959). Also, she received her Master's in Education from Butler University (1975).
She worked as a public health nurse for the Marion County Health Department. She taught in the School of Nursing at the University of Indianapolis and worked as a Registered Nurse at Community Hospital East.
Norma is survived by her children, Rebecca (Mark) Holm, Nathan Kennett, Stephen (Elana) Kennett and Mary A. Kennett (Janet Stackpole); her siblings include Char Priest, Virginia Sutherland, Glenn Priest, Hugh Priest, David Priest, Diane Jackson; grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew Holm; friend, Paul Kennett.

Marjory B. Johnson, 74, died Thursday in Virginia Gay Memorial Hospital, Vinton, following a long illness. SHELLSBURG
Marjory B. Johnson, 74, died Thursday in Virginia Gay Memorial Hospital, Vinton, following a long illness. Survivors include two sons, Robert of Lena, Ill., and Ronald of Marion; two daughters, Dolores Thorn of Las Vegas, Nev., and Patricia Knoop of Hiawatha; a brother, Orville Primrose of Van Horne; two sisters, Dorothy Knaack and Margaret Smith, both of Vinton; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert, died Jan. 17.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Campbell-Russell's, Vinton, where friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.

Funeral services were at Campbell-Russell Funeral Home, Vinton, Feb. 6. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Shellsburg.
She is survived by two sons, Robert E., Lena, Ill. Ronald C., Manon; two daughters, Delores Thorn, Las Vegas, Nev; Mrs. Patricia Knopp, Hiawatha, Two sisters, Dorothy Knaack, Vinton; Margaret Smith, Vinton, one brother, Orville Primrose, Van Horne; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded death by her husband, Jan. 17, 1989, her parents, one son, Thomas, one grandson, three great-grandsons, two brothers and one sister.
She was buried in February 1989 at Oakwood Cemetery, Shellsburg, Benton Co., IA, Findagrave #31725258.
