     Elmer George Retzlaff was born on 5 April 1903 at Walton, Lancaster Co., NE. He was the son of Frederick W. Retzlaff and Clara Louise Faulhaber. Elmer George Retzlaff was christened on 17 May 1903 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Walton, Lancaster Co., NE. He married Theresa Louise Fleck on 20 January 1940. Elmer George Retzlaff died on 1 November 1981 at Lincoln, Lancaster Co., NE, at age 78 From funeral services:

Elmer Retzlaff was born April 5, 1903, in a farmhouse near Walton, NE. He was the grandson of a pioneer farmer.

Elmer graduated from Walton High School and then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees.

He taught science at Dodge and York high schools before moving to New York. Elmer did research and teaching at Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., and at the University of Chicago before retiring.

Elmer and his wife Theresa were married in 1940 at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Peace in Chicago. Four children blessed this marriage: Robert, Betty Jane, Theresa who died of luekemia at age 3 1/2, and Charles, who died at age 36 of heart trouble.

Elmer was a member of Christ Lutheran Church since 1955.

Survivors include: wife, Theresa; son, Robert, Crete; daughter, Mrs. Richard (Betty Jane) Rudel, Columbia, MO; sister, Borothy Berg, Pleasant Dale; nine grandchildren.

Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church cemetery, north of Bennet.

Pallbearers are: Ralph Retzlaff, Vern Finke, Paul Berg, Donald Baade, Charles Fleck, John Fleck. Honorary pallbearers: Fred Retzlaff, Irvin Retzlaff, Melvin Finke, Harvey Finke, Michael Fleck, Arthur Fleck, Franck Fleck, Chester Kruzimski." He was buried in November 1981 at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Bennet, Lancaster Co., NE.

     Frederick Carl Retzlaff was born on 20 May 1923 at Walton, Lancaster Co., NE. He was the son of Carl Ludwig Retzlaff and Bertha Marie Broening. Frederick Carl Retzlaff married Lorraine Fern Hanson, daughter of Elmer R. Hanson, on 9 February 1947.

     Frederick W. Retzlaff was born in December 1864 at Nebraska Both parents born Germany.¹ He married Clara Louise Faulhaber, daughter of Walter Ludwig Faulhaber and Helena Eliza Sauter, circa 1887.¹

     Irvin John Retzlaff was born on 6 May 1925 at Walton, Lancaster Co., NE. He was the son of Carl Ludwig Retzlaff and Bertha Marie Broening. Irvin John Retzlaff married Venetha June Jurgena on 10 September 1950.

     Keith Edwin Retzlaff was born on 12 September 1955 at Lincoln, Lancaster Co., NE. He was the son of Frederick Carl Retzlaff and Lorraine Fern Hanson. Keith Edwin Retzlaff died on 15 September 1955 at Lincoln, Lancaster Co., NE. He was buried in September 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Walton, Lancaster Co., NE.

     Ralph Robert Retzlaff was born on 3 December 1927 at Walton, Lancaster Co., NE. He was the son of Carl Ludwig Retzlaff and Bertha Marie Broening.

     Ruth Irene Retzlaff was born on 9 March 1931 at Walton, Lancaster Co., NE. She was the daughter of Carl Ludwig Retzlaff and Bertha Marie Broening. Ruth Irene Retzlaff died on 10 October 1931 at Walton, Lancaster Co., NE. She was buried in October 1931 at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Walton, Lancaster Co., NE.

     Theresa Clara Jean Retzlaff was born on 30 November 1940 at Lincoln, Lancaster Co., NE. She was the daughter of Elmer George Retzlaff and Theresa Louise Fleck. Theresa Clara Jean Retzlaff died in June 1944 at age 3.

     Verna Marie Retzlaff was born on 5 June 1921 at Walton, Lancaster Co., NE. She was the daughter of Carl Ludwig Retzlaff and Bertha Marie Broening. Verna Marie Retzlaff died on 26 April 1999 at age 77. She was buried in April 1999 at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Walton, Lancaster Co., NE.

     Walter Reuland was born on 1 September 1920. He married Eva May Freeman, daughter of Harvey William Freeman and Norah Grace Lingenfelter, on 8 September 1948 at Sioux Falls, Minnehaha Co., SD.

     George Reuschline was born on 10 April 1868.¹ He was the son of John Reuschline and Elizabeth (?) George Reuschline married Susannah Snively Price, daughter of John Price and Cornelia Gordon, on 31 March 1891, Ceremony by Rev. Thomas C. McCarrell.¹ George Reuschline lived in 1926 at 811 Windsor Square, Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., PA.¹
