John Reifsneider was born on 24 June 1816; son of David and Elizabeth (Maus) Reifsneider. He married Elizabeth Honora Kitzmiller, daughter of John Michael Kitzmiller and Anna Christina Kitzmiller, on 12 January 1840 at Carroll Co., MD. John Reifsneider lived on 26 July 1850 at Woodsboro District, Frederick Co., MD, Merchant.1 Occupation: John operated the Glissan Mill and later was a grain dealer in Frederick, MD. He was a Frederick County Commissioner in 1850. He was on the first board of directors of the First National Bank of Frederick in 1875. (Findagrave.com.) In the name of God, Amen. I, John Reifsneider of the City of Baltimore and State of Maryland being now of sound mind and disposing mind Memory and understanding though infirm in Body do Make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Honora Elizabeth Reifsneider all the household furniture and plate now belonging to me and inasmuch as there are life insurance policies for fifteen Thousand Dollars payable to my wife on my Death it is not necessary to make any further provision for her.

He was president of St. Paul University in Tokyo from 1912 to 1941; director of St. Luke’s Hospital, Tokyo, from 1935 to 1941, and president of st. Margaret’s College of Tokyo from 1935 to 1941.
He was Suffragan Bishop of North Tokyo from 1924 to 1935, and Bishop in charge of new diocesan work of the Protestant Episcopal Church in Japan from 1942 to 1946.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. in All-Saints Episcopal Church of Pasadena. Arrangements are in charge of Turner and Stevens Mortuary.
