Mason Sprecher Riggs married Betty Jo Moody on 29 December 1947. Mason Sprecher Riggs began military service between 1951 and 1955 U.S. Air Force service. He died on 18 June 2018 at Harrisonburg, VA, at age 88

Mason S. Riggs, 88, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Riggs was born, August 3, 1929 in Shippensburg, PA and was the son of the late, Mason C. and Elsie L. Riggs. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jo Moody who passed away in 2003; a brother, Paul L. Riggs and two sisters, Marie Kann and Ruth Halterman Swecker.

Mason moved to Harrisonburg in 1940 and attended Harrisonburg High School, later serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955. He had a career in sales of Livestock and Poultry Products to the Feed Manufacturing industry. He spent 32 years in several areas of the Mid-West as well as in the South before returning to Harrisonburg upon retirement in 1994. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Christian Church in Elkton.

In 2004 he married Nancy Shifflett Riggs who survives. Also surviving is a son, Mike Riggs and wife, Mary of Harrisonburg; step-children, Richard Shifflett of Louisa, Debbie Lewis of Harrisonburg, Jeanne Horn of Richmond and Sherry Greenwald and husband, David of New Bern, NC; granddaughter, Angela Riggs Loe; two great-grandchildren, Brianne and Eric Loe and two step-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Christian Church in Elkton with Pastor Wayne Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

McLaughlin, daughter of Rolla Delbert McLaughlin and Lena Ellen Jackson, on 19 April 1933 at Lancaster, Schuyler Co., MO. Ernest Marvin Rigler began military service on 23 February 1944 WW II, U.S. Army, Private, enlisted 23 FEB 1944, killed in action 26 DEC 1944. He died on 26 December 1944 at Verdenne, Belgium, at age 33.
