He was born February 4, 1915 in Brookville, 111., to Milton and Nellie (Kampmier) Beck. He was educated in Polo, I11. schools. He was the owner and operator of the Storm Lake "Reminder'' newspaper and stationery store for 27 years. Homer married Julia Claire Fitzpatrick May 4, 1940 in St. Mary's Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Storm Lake Moose Lodge #790.

He was preceded in death by his parents and half brother, Kenneth Brown.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter — Linda Parker, Las Vegas, Nev; two sisters — Mariam Folk, Polo, m; and Helen Isenburger, Polo, 111; eight grand children and five great-grandchildren.

He was buried in March 1991 at Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Storm Lake, Buena Vista Co., IA, Findagrave #107685832.

Dan Becka, 79, of Houston, Texas passed away on September 12, 2018. He was born on March 21, 1939 in Ellinger, Texas to Fred and Otylia (Zgarba) Becka. He married Virginia Alexander in Houston, Texas. Dan worked for Central Freight Lines for 35+ years before retiring. He loved fishing, gardening and working on automobiles. He cherished his family and the grandchildren got a little extra love. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Virginia, daughter Debbie Parrott and husband Alan of Humble, Texas and three sons, Daniel Becka Jr and wife Lynda of Houston, Texas, Mike Becka of Houston, Texas and Ronnie Becka of Houston, Texas. Step daughter Joyce Ervin and husband Tim of Spring, Texas. Two Step sons Eddie Alexander of Houston, Texas and Frank Alexander of Austin, Texas.
