     Note: Adelia Rosecrans Swartz was a second cousin (same generation) of the Civil War Union general William S. Rosecrans. She invented a change mattress-level crib, Patent No. 89953, May 11, 1869, and founded the Children's Industrial Home, Philadelphia, PA.²

     John William Rosenauer Jr. was born on 3 April 1916 at Houston, Harris Co., TX. He was the son of John William Rosenauer and Bertha Ella Grassoff. John William Rosenauer Jr. began military service on 21 March 1941 WW II service, U.S. Army, discharged 6 JUL 1945. He married Hazel Katherine Davalt, daughter of Samuel Oral Davalt and Nancy Maude Johnson, on 5 June 1941. John William Rosenauer Jr. died on 30 November 1999 at Harris Co., TX, at age 83.

     Abraham Rosenberger was born circa 19 November 1797. He was the son of Rudolph Rosenberger and Barbara Hamman. Abraham Rosenberger married Rachel Baker, daughter of Johann Georg Baker and Charlotte (?), on 11 December 1829 at Shenandoah Co., VA. Abraham Rosenberger died in 1877.

     Abraham E. Rosenberger was the son of Rev. Samuel Rosenberger and Amanda (?) Abraham E. Rosenberger was Brethren in Christ.¹ He married Laura Price, daughter of Henry H. Price and Susanna M. Fretz, on 25 September 1909, Ceremony by Rev. John Frantz.¹ Abraham E. Rosenberger lived in 1926 at 309 East Broad Street, Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA.¹

     Catherine Rosenberger was born in 1800 at Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of Rudolph Rosenberger and Barbara Hamman. Catherine Rosenberger married Heinrich Baker, son of Philip Peter Baker and Elizabetha Dorothea Voelkner, on 15 February 1819 at Shenandoah Co., VA.² Catherine Rosenberger died on 15 June 1887 at Warren Co., VA.

Note: Appears to be the Charles W. "Rosenburger", age 46, listed in the 1910 census of Manhattan Ward 20, broker in the farming industry. The census listing indicates he was married and had been so for 21 years. Also is found in 1920, Lee District, Shenandoah County, farm laborer, married, but no wife listed with him. Cannot find him in the 1900 census. DLB 2017.

     George Washington Rosenberger was born on 23 February 1823 at Virginia. He was the son of George Rosenberger and Margaret Rebecca Zirkle.¹ George Washington Rosenberger married Barbara A. Kagey, daughter of Abraham Kagey and Frances Yount, on 16 October 1845 at Shenandoah Co., VA. George Washington Rosenberger married Amelia J. Kagey, daughter of Abraham Kagey and Frances Yount, on 22 August 1892 at Shenandoah Co., VA. George Washington Rosenberger died on 9 November 1902 at Smith's Creek, Shenandoah Co., VA, at age 79 Obituary (findagrave.com):

George Washington Rosenberger, 80, died at his home at Smith Creek after a long illness.

He was the second son of George and Margaret (Zirkle) Rosenberger, and was a brother of Edmond Rosenberger, Mrs. Jacob Price, and Mrs. Jacob Strickler. On Oct. 16, 1845 he married Barbara A. Kagey, who died June 22, 1887.

They had 8 children: Tazwell, Jacob, Ketura, Florence, Martha (Mrs. C. F. Myers), Russell, Georgia and Charles. On August 22, 1892 he married his first wife’s sister, Amelia J. Kagey. In 1889 he fell, dislocating his left hip, and fell again 10 years later.

The immediate cause of death was heart trouble and paralysis. He was a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran church. The funeral took place in New Market at the church.
