Katherine died by suicide in 1949, age 55. Harry remarried shortly thereafter to Beulah Hartley in Ft. Wayne, Indiana Jun 22, 1950. They eventually retired together to the Tampa Bay area and Harry died of heart attack while playing golf on Apr 9, 1971. He donated his body to the University of Florida College of Medicine and his ashes were eventually spread over the Gulf of Mexico.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday for a 26-year-old Clare man who died of self inflicted gun-shot wounds Sunday, Stephen W. Scott (sic) died Sunday night at Clare Osteopathic Hospital shortly after the shooting at his home on East Dunlop Road.
Michigan State Police said they were called to the Dunlop residence Sunday afternoon on a complain of a man with a shotgun.
Authorities said he was in a barn with the doors tied shut. When they opened the doors he allegedly pointed he shotgun at them.
Police talked to Scott for more than 90 minutes before he fatally shot himself. No other shots were fired.
He was born November 8, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Clarence W. and Virginia Scott.
He married Morene Crawford on July 5, 1980 in Clare. Stephen came to Clare in 1976 from Houghton Lake and worked for the Clare Public School as a bus mechanic.
He was a member of the Farwell and Lake CBer's Club.
He is survived by his wife Morene of Clare, 2 brothers, Donald E. of California, William Joseph of Ohio, a sister, LeeAnn Scott of Ohio and his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Harley Bogg of Ohio.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Rosa officiating.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Rosa officiating.
Burial will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services. Clare Sentinel dated 4-22/1981.
