     Robert E. Shamblin was born circa 1921 at Tom Green Co. (probably), TX.¹ He was the son of Odis Shamblin and Anna Dora Carroll.¹

     Ethel M. Shanafelt was born in 1894. She married Russell Lawrence Windle, son of Virgil Windle and Mary Priscilla Freedline.

     Frederick Shandelmeier Jr. was also known as Fred Berry.¹ He was born in January 1888 at Colo, Story Co., IA.¹ He was the son of Frederick Schandelmeier and Ellen Jane Smith.¹ Frederick Shandelmeier Jr. married Helen Maxine Brown, daughter of Jerome V. Brown and Clara Bella Fleek, on 21 April 1928 at Nevada, Story Co., IA, It appears that Helen remarried to Walter H. Partidge (1898 - 1969) before APR 1940 when they were listed living at Marshalltown, Iowa. They later relocated to Riverside, California, where she died on 21 DEC 1942. Frederick Shandelmeier Jr. lived on 18 April 1930 at Nevada, Story Co., IL, section laborer, railroad.² He died on 5 February 1955 at Nevada, Story Co., IA, at age 67. He was buried in February 1955 at Nevada Municipal Cemetery, Nevada, Story Co., IA, Findagrave #131712418.
Note: Fred was listed as a Berry on the 1900 census, when Ike was apparently absent from the family, but in 1920 when Ike was present, Fred Shandelmier was listed as Ike's stepson. In all public records thereafter, Fred is listed as Fred Berry.

     Mary Shane married Henry Miller, son of Abraham Miller and Elizabeth Brumbach, in 1862 at Fairfield Co., OH. Mary Shane died in 1872 at Walnut Twp., Fairfield Co., OH.

     Edna Luella Shaner was born on 4 November 1907 at Chester Twp., Clinton Co., OH; daughter of Allen Bertis and Estelle (Martin) Shaner. She married Homer Morris Wood, son of Ira M. Wood and Sarah Ann Morris, on 18 September 1937; no children. Edna Luella Shaner died on 29 July 1988 at Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OH, at age 80. She was buried in 1988 at Miami Cemetery, Corwin, Warren Co., OH, Findagrave #181793730.

     Fred Clarence Shaner was born on 29 September 1892. He married Virgie Mae Stainer, daughter of William Edward Stainer and Mary Elizabeth Tipton, on 27 October 1933. Fred Clarence Shaner died on 26 March 1967 at age 74. He was buried in March 1967 at Beckett Cemetery, Commercial Point, Pickaway Co., OH.

     George Frances Shaner was born on 14 July 1879 at Franklin Co., OH; son of John Newton and Mary C. (Acton) Shaner. He married Mary B. Finley, daughter of George W. Finley and Sarah Jane Mercer, in 1913. George Frances Shaner died on 6 January 1960 at Muskingum Co., OH, at age 80.

     Mary Shaner married Jesse Metz.¹

     Melinda Shaneyfelt was born in 1845 at Jay Co., IN. She married Allen Lovell on 13 November 1861 at Portland, Jay Co., IN. Melinda Shaneyfelt died in 1870 at Jay Co., IN.

     Alice Shank was born in November 1866 at Ohio per 1900 census. Headstone shows 25 DEC 1866.¹ She was the daughter of David Shank and Frances V. Mooney.¹ Alice Shank married Peter Raymer on 31 December 1882 at Montgomery Co., OH. Alice Shank married David G. Dryden, son of David C. Dryden and Jemima Bevington, on 15 October 1896 at Montgomery Co., OH, This marriage obviously did not last long. Alice is found living in her parents' home with her two Raymer children in the 1900 cnesus, apparently still married but separated.

Alice Shank died on 24 August 1924 at Montgomery Co., OH, at age 57. She was buried in August 1924 at Lower Miami Cemetery, Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH, Findagrave #95525216.

     Amos Shank was born on 3 March 1864 at Ohio.^1,2 He was the son of Olesus Shank and Margaret Price.¹ Amos Shank married Sadie Gibson, daughter of William Gibson and Rebecca (?).¹ Amos Shank died in 1904 at Celina, Mercer Co., OH.¹

     Betty Jane Shank was born on 1 December 1924. She was the daughter of Walter Atlee Shank and Maye Louella Shoap. Betty Jane Shank married Paul John Stenger, son of George Norman Stenger and Lenora Edith Kline, on 21 August 1944 at Franklin Co., PA. Betty Jane Shank died on 24 October 1961 at age 36. She was buried in October 1961 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg, Cumberland Co., PA.

     Caroline Shank was also known as "Callie".² She was born on 24 November 1870 at Mercer Co., OH.^1,3 She was the daughter of Olesus Shank and Margaret Price.¹ Caroline Shank married Frank J. Zeller, son of Joseph Zeller and Resena (?), on 3 March 1891.¹

     Carrie Myrtle Shank was born on 2 October 1894 at Franklin Co., PA.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel J. Shank and Clara S. Lehman. Carrie Myrtle Shank married Hubert Socks, son of John Ferdinand Socks and Anna Rachel Wolford, on 22 April 1916. Carrie Myrtle Shank lived on 11 April 1930 at Quincy Twp., Franklin Co., PA, farming.¹ She died on 7 April 1955 at age 60. She was buried in April 1955 at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, Franklin Co., PA, Findagrave #56982412.

     Charles Shank was born on 21 February 1892 at Celina, Mercer Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Amos Shank and Sadie Gibson.¹

     Daniel David Shank was born on 27 July 1886. He married Abbie Catherine Layman on 4 November 1908. Daniel David Shank died on 17 February 1920 at age 33. He was buried in February 1920 at Zion Mennonite Church Cemetery, Broadway, Rockingham Co., VA, Find A Grave Memorial# 46585452.

     David Shank was born in May 1844 at Ohio.¹ He married Frances V. Mooney on 10 September 1865 at Montgomery Co., OH. David Shank died on 23 February 1914 at Montgomery Co., OH, at age 69. He was buried in February 1914 at Lower Miami Cemetery, Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH, Findagrave #73748819.

     Della F. Shank was born in January 1881 at Carroll Co. (probably), IL.¹ She was the daughter of Martin S. Shank and Anna Lowman.¹

     Elmer S. Shank was the son of William Shank and Anna Spessard. Occupation: Real estate, Portland, Oregon.¹ Elmer S. Shank married Capitola Coffman, daughter of George Elliott Coffman and Lillie Knodle, on 15 June 1905.¹ Elmer S. Shank died on 7 November 1918 at Portland, Multnomah Co., OR (probably).¹

     Elsie Shank was born circa 1877 at Carroll Co. (probably), IL.¹ She was the daughter of Martin S. Shank and Anna Lowman.¹ Elsie Shank died in 1901 at Lennox, Lincoln Co., SD. She was buried in 1901 at Lennox Cemetery, Lennox, Lincoln Co., SD, Findagrave #23022626.

     Emma Shank was born circa 1875. She married Abraham Stouffer, son of Abraham Stouffer and Elizabeth Sherrick.

     Emma Shank was born on 6 June 1915 at Broadway, Rockingham Co., VA. She was the daughter of Daniel David Shank and Abbie Catherine Layman. Emma Shank married Earl R. Delp, son of Henry K. Delp and Margaret Ruth, in 1937. Emma Shank died on 1 July 2006 at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Center, Harrisonburg, Rockingham Co., VA, at age 91 Obituary (findagrave.com):

Emma Shank Delp, 91, a resident of Virginia Mennonite Retirement Center, Harrisonburg, died July 1, 2006, at 3:45 p.m.

Emma was born June 16, 1915, in Broadway, Va., and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Abbie Layman Shank. She had lived in Newport News, Lexington, and Pennsylvania before moving to the Harrisonburg area in 1954.

In addition to her role as wife, mother and grandmother, she was a homemaker and served her community and beyond in many mission outreaches. She was a member of the Lindale Mennonite Church .

On Nov. 29, 1938, she married Earl R. Delp Sr., who survives after 67 years of marriage.

Also surviving are three sons, Earl R. Delp Jr. and wife, Ruth, of Indiana, Charles Delp and wife, Shirley, of Connecticut, Ronald Delp and wife, Sabrina, of Alabama; three daughters, Earlene Wallick and husband, Don, of Ohio, Harriet Miller of Indiana, and Evangeline Yoder of Ohio; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, a brother, and a granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at 11:00 at the Lindale Mennonite Church with the Revs. Steve Estep and Duane Yoder officiating. The graveside service will be private.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the Lindale Mennonite Church.

     Emma May Shank was born on 23 December 1895 at Franklin Co., PA. She was the daughter of Samuel J. Shank and Clara S. Lehman.

     George W. Shank married Catherine Wendel, daughter of Johannes Wendel and Mary Wiseman, in 1840.

     Helen Shank was born on 18 November 1907 at Grant's Pass, Josephine Co., OR.¹ She was the daughter of Elmer S. Shank and Capitola Coffman.

     Hubert Alan Shank was born on 22 July 1917 at Portland, Multnomah Co., OR.¹ He was the son of Elmer S. Shank and Capitola Coffman.

     James Edward Shank was born on 26 December 1913. He married Nancy Gravely, daughter of Richard Pleasants Gravely and Sarah Hay Mullins. James Edward Shank died on 29 November 1985 at age 71. He was buried in December 1985 at St. Stephens Episcopal Church Cemetery, Forest, Bedford Co., VA, Find A Grave Memorial# 86334354.

     John Shank was born on 10 January 1868 at Mercer Co., OH.^1,2 He was the son of Olesus Shank and Margaret Price.¹ John Shank died on 15 March 1883 at age 15 Accidental death by drowning.¹
