Born April 23, 1913, in Warsaw, Mr. Smith was a retired Insurance Agent and co-owner of Johnson & Smith Insurance Agency in Salem, IN and a WWII Navy Veteran. He was also a former member of the Masonic Lodge and the Lyons Club. He was the son of the late Allen and Ella Buchanan Smith and was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Lee Smith.
He is survived by his wife Alene Smith of Salem, IN; his daughter Frances Annette Smith Keith of Owenton; his step son Larry Anderson of Virginia; two grandchildren Mike (Kathy) Keith and Sandy (Steve) Small of Owenton; five great grandchildren, Chris & Jamie Keith, Benjamin Bennett and Steven and Lucy Small; six great-great grandchildren and one step grandchild.
A time of fellowship will be held on Monday, November 24, from 6-7pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Memorial services will follow at 7pm. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
He was buried in November 2008, Cremated, Findagrave #65448326.
