     Emma Lou Snapp was born on 14 May 1931 at Washington Co., TN.¹ She was the daughter of Thodore Bland Snapp and Charlotte Elizabeth Hylton.¹ Emma Lou Snapp died on 20 October 2013 at Greeneville, Greene Co., TN, at age 82.

     Emma Victoria Snapp was born on 24 January 1884 at Taney Co., MO. She was the daughter of Robert Grant Snapp and Lydia Ann Rider. Emma Victoria Snapp married Levi Newton Haggard, son of Levi Milton Haggard and Julia Elizabeth Burkes. Emma Victoria Snapp lived on 28 April 1930 at Oliver Twp., Taney Co., MO.¹ She was buried in October 1967 at Ozarks Memorial Park, Branson, Taney Co., MO, Find A Grave Memorial# 30209309. She died on 15 October 1967 at Branson, Taney Co., MO, at age 83.

     Errett Earl Snapp was born on 27 November 1884 at Ozawkie, Jefferson Co., KS.¹ He was the son of Arthur Wilfred Snapp and Magdalina Denner.¹ Errett Earl Snapp married Cora May Stamps on 19 June 1920 at Pulaski Co., AR. Errett Earl Snapp died on 27 January 1954 at Little Rock, Pulaski Co., AR, at age 69. He was buried in 1954 at Pinecrest Memorial Park and Garden Mausoleum, Alexander, Saline Co., AR, Findagrave #49135191.

     Evelyn Lavern Snapp was born on 17 January 1922 at Quay Co., NM.¹ She was the daughter of James R. Snapp and Ethel Collins.¹ Evelyn Lavern Snapp died on 9 March 1986 at Riverside Co., CA, at age 64.

     Fannie A. Snapp was born in July 1892 at Frederick Co., VA.¹ She was the daughter of Camillus E. Snapp and Mary Alice Brill.¹

     Faye E. Snapp was born in October 1899 at White Twp., Benton Co., MO.¹ She was the daughter of Franklin Snapp and Margaret E. (?)¹

     Fern Ann Snapp was born on 7 June 1909 at Windsor, Henry Co., MO.¹ She was the daughter of Jacob Alexander Snapp and Alma Mae Marsh. Fern Ann Snapp married Clarence Michael Goldsmith, son of Frank Goldsmith and Matilda C. Meier, on 3 March 1933 at Sedalia, Pettis Co., MO. Fern Ann Snapp died on 7 October 1989 at Clinton, Henry Co., MO, at age 80. She was buried in October 1989 at Laurel Oak Cemetery, Henry Co., MO.

     Flora Snapp was born in 1809 at Shenandoah Co., VA. She was the daughter of Abraham Snapp and Maria Magdalena Fogelsong. Flora Snapp married Henneman Henley on 12 August 1828. Flora Snapp died after 1850.

     Flora O. Snapp was born in March 1894 at Benton Co. (probably), MO.¹ She was the daughter of Franklin Snapp and Margaret E. (?)¹

     Flora W. Snapp was born circa 1916 at Washington Co., TN.¹ She was the daughter of Rhea McIlwaine Snapp and Dora O. Rowe.

     Florence D. Snapp was born circa 1836 at Sullivan or Greene Co., TN.¹ She was the daughter of John Pemberton Snapp and Margaret Rhea.¹

     Floyd Snapp was born in 1873. He was the son of John Henry Snapp and Rebecca Sanders.

     Frances Isabelle Snapp was born on 28 August 1920 at Nelson, Saline Co., MO. She was the daughter of Horton C. Snapp and Mary Cleghorn. Frances Isabelle Snapp married William L. Thompson on 5 August 1939 at La Monte, Pettis Co., MO. Frances Isabelle Snapp died on 6 March 2008 at Sedalia, Pettis Co., MO, at age 87. She was buried in March 2008 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, Pettis Co., MO, Findagrave #136848391.

     Frances Virginia Snapp was born on 25 May 1834 at Frederick Co., VA. She was the daughter of Edward Bennett Snapp and Elizabeth Dutton. Frances Virginia Snapp married Amos Henry Foreman, son of John A. Foreman and Mary Ann Klauser, on 11 November 1853 at Frederick Co., VA. Frances Virginia Snapp died in 1911 at Frederick Co., VA.

     Francis Elisha Snapp was also known as "Frank". He was born on 23 January 1892 at Taney Co. (probably), MO. He was the son of Robert Grant Snapp and Lydia Ann Rider. Francis Elisha Snapp married Mae A. Biles, daughter of John Biles and Maude Ellen Bedford. Francis Elisha Snapp lived on 7 January 1920 at Acequia Precinct, Minidoka Co., ID, Farming.¹ He lived on 24 April 1930 at Township 8, Merced Co., CA, Engineer, drag line.² Occupation: Cemetery caretaker on 12 May 1940 at off Winton Way, Winton, Merced Co., CA.³ He died on 30 August 1970 at Merced, Merced Co., CA, at age 78. He was buried in September 1970 at Winton Cemetery, Winton, Merced Co., CA, Find A Grave Memorial# 87035996.

     Franklin Snapp was born in January 1862 at Missouri.^1,2 He was the son of Alexander A. Snapp and Lavinia Bird.¹ Franklin Snapp married Margaret E. (?) circa 1893.²

     Franklin A. Snapp married Sarah B. Simmons. Franklin A. Snapp was born in 1859. He was the son of John Henry Snapp and Nancy Herring. Franklin A. Snapp died in 1914 at Missouri. He was buried in 1914 at Half Rock Cemetery, Mercer Co., MO.

     Fred Snapp was the son of Woodford Alpheris Snapp and Sarah Jane Lacey.

     Frederick C. Snapp was born on 26 February 1886 at Frederick Co. (probably), VA, per death certificate and WW II draft registration. 1900 census shows 1887.¹ He was the son of Camillus E. Snapp and Mary Alice Brill.¹ Frederick C. Snapp married Gertrude L. Mary Lonas, daughter of William Lonas and Mollie (?). Frederick C. Snapp died on 29 November 1977 at Winchester, Winchester Co., VA, at age 91.

     George Snapp was born in 1794 at Shenandoah Co., VA. He was the son of Abraham Snapp and Maria Magdalena Fogelsong. George Snapp died in 1844 at Georgetown, Vermilion Co., IL.

     Rev. George B. Snapp was the son of Woodford Alpheris Snapp and Sarah Jane Lacey. Occupation: Minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church; was stationed at Chilhowee, Missouri.

     George D. Snapp was born circa 1879 at Boone Co. (probably), AR.¹ He was the son of David John Snapp and Virginia Bagley.¹

     George W. Snapp was born circa 1847. He was the son of William Cravens Snapp and Adeline E. (?)

     Georgia Snapp was born in November 1899 at Frederick Co., VA.¹ She was the daughter of Camillus E. Snapp and Mary Alice Brill.¹

     Gordon Lee Snapp was born on 13 April 1932 at Merced Co., CA. He was the son of Francis Elisha Snapp and Mae A. Biles. Gordon Lee Snapp began military service Korean War service, U.S. Army. He died on 18 February 2005 at Twin Falls, Twin Falls Co., ID, at age 72.

     Hal Wendell Snapp was born on 20 June 1903 at Washington Co. (probably), TN.¹ He was the son of Hawkins Wendell Snapp and Lura F. Bailey.¹ Hal Wendell Snapp died on 29 December 1962 at age 59. He was buried at New Salem Cemetery, Washington Co., TN, Findagrave #61137885.

     Harriet Elizabeth Snapp was born circa 1847 at Athens or Fairfield Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of John P. Snapp and Elizabeth Peery.¹ Harriet Elizabeth Snapp died on 20 August 1891 at McClure, Henry Co., OH.

     Harrison Galifant Snapp was born in 1813 at Rockingham Co., VA. He was the son of John Snapp and Elizabeth Cook. Harrison Galifant Snapp married Emily D. Parry on 24 March 1836 at Greene Co., TN.
Note: Harrison G. Snapp is found in the 1840 census of Taney Co., MO in Swan Township with 1 male under 5, 2 males 20-30 (2nd male, a brother?), 2 females under 5 & 1 female 20-30.

In one of S.C.Turnbo's books entitled Fireside Stories of the Early Days in the Ozarks, Volume 1, Page 10, is an item as follows: "The bottom farm that Mr. and Mrs. Keesee and their daughter Huldah were forced to give up because of Indians that constantly worried them, was known years afterwards as the Hack Snapp farm."



Notes on Page 276, of the book, "The White River Chronicles of S.C. Turnbo, Man and Wildlife on the Ozarks Frontier" had the following:
Note #34- Harrison Snapp (1812-1863) was a descendant of Palatinate Germans who migrated to Philadelphia in 1733, later to Virginia and after the War of 1812 to Tennessee. Harrison came to Missouri with three brothers in 1839. He had a large stock farm on the White River, across from Forsyth (Missouri) and took the lead in several progressive causes. Three of his sons served the Confederacy, while Federals destroyed his fences and outbuildings and killed his stock. The family fled to Cooper County, Missouri, where he died. The First Term of the Taney County Circuit Court after the War was held at Harrison Snapp's house in 1865, as few buildings of any description stood near the County Seat of Forsyth. The Snapp Cemetery, still used by the public, is located on the old farm. Notes on Page 290, of this same book had the following:
Note #48- In June, 1846, Taney Countians (raised a) Militia Company. Harrison Snapp was their Captain. (Miscellaneous records from the "Springfield (Missouri) Advertiser 1844-1846 had the following regarding the foregoing, " a group of volunteers for the Mexican War were organized. Peace had already been declared but they (the Taney Countians) did not know it. When the news was received the Company was disbanded. (above courtesy of Glenn Schultz).

Came to Taney County, Mo about 1840 from Tennessee. Was a successful farmer and for a time Treasurer of Taney County. 1850 Taney Co. census - farmer, $1500.
There are records of "Hack" Snapp being employed as the foreman of a crew to cut a new channel through the shoals of the White River near the mouth of Elbow Creek in 1851 to open the river to riverboat navigation. Confederate soldier during Civil War. Believed to have been killed or died during the War. Harrison Galifant Snapp married Tennessee Sarah Jane Callen circa 1856. Harrison Galifant Snapp began military service Served in the Confederate Army, donated the land for Snapp Cemetery at Forsyth. He died in 1863 at Boonville, Cooper Co., MO, Confederate soldier, killed in action. He was buried in 1863 at Snapp Cemetery, Forsyth, Taney Co., MO, Find A Grave Memorial# 77422269.

     Harrison Lee Snapp was born in 1870 at Swan Twp., Taney Co., MO.¹ He was the son of David John Snapp and Virginia Bagley.¹ Harrison Lee Snapp died in 1960.

     Harry Snapp was born circa 1876 at Woodruff Co., AR. He was the son of Lafayette Dedrick Snapp and Mary Hester Luckenbill.
