Mrs. Ethel Lewis, 64, died Friday morning at 10:10 o'clock in the Lutheran hospital, Fort Wayne, where she underwent major surgery May 17.

The decedent, a resident of Wabash for 44 years, was a native of Huntington county and was born June 4, 1883 to John and Rachael (Byrd) Sonner.

She was married 45 years ago to Wilford Lewis of Wabash county. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness church.

Survivors include the husband, seven children; Merlin Lewis, Wabash, Mrs. Mary Marks and Mrs. George Wasson, Battle Creek, Mich., Mrs. Ed Graves, Wabash, Glenn Lewis, Huntington, Mrs. John Dyzko, South Bend, and Mrs. Vada Chapman, Wabash; two brothers, Jason Sonner, Fort Wayne, and Fred Sonner, Roanoke; one sister, Mrs. Emma Young, Fort Wayne, 30 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was buried in 1948 at Falls Cemetery, Wabash, Wabash Co., IN, Find A Grave Memorial# 39788271.
