She was buried in July 1998 at Kirkwood Cemetery, London, Madison Co., OH.

     Edith Stevens was born on 4 February 1891 at Beloit, Mitchell Co., KS.¹ She was the daughter of Elmer Ellsworth Stevens and Mary Louisa Parke.¹ Edith Stevens married Axel Mellquist.² Edith Stevens lived between 1930 and 1940 at 364 Sunset Avenue, Aurora, Kane Co., IL.³ She died in June 1986 at Kane Co., IL, at age 95.

Bush, on 12 April 1886 at Cherokee Co., KS. Elmer Ellsworth Stevens married Geneva May Patrick on 8 August 1894 at Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO. Elmer Ellsworth Stevens lived on 2 June 1900 at Downers Grove, DuPage Co., IL.² He lived on 22 April 1910 at 158 Main Street, Downers Grove, DuPage Co., IL.³ He died after 3 January 1920 at Kane Co., IL.

     Elsworth Stevens married Harriett Edmonson.

     Emma Pearl Stevens was born on 18 July 1889 at Harrison Co., IN. She was the daughter of Marion Stevens and Mary Churchman. Emma Pearl Stevens married John Martin Swarens, son of Louis Squire Swarens and Sarah Elizabeth Davis, on 27 March 1907 at Mott Station, Harrison Co., IN.      Harold Alvin Stevens was born on 14 June 1911 at Klickitat Co., WA.¹ He was the son of Albert Arthur Stevens and Ida Almeda Winterstein.¹ Harold Alvin Stevens died on 14 October 1982 at Marion Co., OR, at age 71.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church for Helen Amanda Slack, who died Sunday in a Portland-area nursing home at age 76.

Mrs. Slack, the wife of Lyman Slack, longtime Portland automobile dealer, was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, and had been an Oregon resident since 1948. She lived at 6 Del Prado St., Lake Oswego.

In addition to Mr. Slack, she is survived by a son, David W. Slack, Portland, and a daughter, Joyce Elaine Jones, Marina Del Ray, Calif.

She was cremated in 1976.
Note: The son, David W. Slack of Portland, mentioned in her obituary, does not appear in the Lyman Slack family in the 1930, 1940, or 1950 census listings. She was 49 years old as of 1950, so David may have been an adopted son. He appears to have been David Webb Slack, born 1955. DLB 2022.
