Louis Buchheimer of the English Evangelical Lutheran Church performed the ceremony in the presence of only the nearest relatives and friends. The bride wore an empire gown of white satin, trimmed in old rose point lace and carried a bouquet of valley lilies. Her veil, an heirloom in her family, was of rose point. Mrs. Oscar Herf, a cousin of the bride, was her only attendant, wearing a gown of white chiffon and carrying white flowers. The ceremony was followed by a dinner, after which Mr. and Mrs. Normand-Smith left for Ann Arbor, Mich., where they will be the guests of Prof. Albert Lockwood of the University of Michigan, an uncle of the bride. They will then go to New York, whence they will sail for Europe to spend the summer in travel.

Preceded in death by husband Robert E. Gross 1962, sisters Ruth Anderson and Esther Grice and brother Conrad Strahler. Survived by children Dennis (Libby) Campbell, David (Kay) Gross and Tom (Diana) Gross, 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and numerous loving relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 5-8 pm Thursday at Radiant Life Church, 7100 Post Rd., Dublin, OH 43016; where funeral service will be held Friday 10 am with Pastor David Gross officiating.
