Long, daughter of Elder Christian Long and Susannah Hershey, on 11 October 1855 at Carroll Co., IL. Joseph Price Strickler married Mary Keefer Stouffer, daughter of John Stouffer and Ann Keefer, on 26 February 1867. Joseph Price Strickler died on 27 February 1904 at Ramona, Marion Co., KS, at age 69 Mr. Strickler was first married at Mt. Carroll, Ill., and lived there about ten years until after the death of his first wife. He then came East and married again at Chambersburg, Pa. Soon after moved to Winchester, Va., where he successfully operated a grain buying and elevator business for about 15 years. About 1883 settled in Marion, Kans. and later to Ramona, Kans. where he ran an elevator for a number of years and later a general store.¹
