     Adolphus Stringfield was born in 1865. He was the son of Thomas Wesley Stringfield and Sarah Jane Mills. Adolphus Stringfield died on 28 September 1870 at McMullen Co., TX.

     Ida Alice Stringfield was born on 18 April 1863 at Texas. She was the daughter of Thomas Wesley Stringfield and Sarah Jane Mills. Ida Alice Stringfield married William Hatfield. Ida Alice Stringfield died on 3 April 1937 at age 73.

     Nancy Ray Stringfield was born in 1825 at Sangamon Co., IL. She was the daughter of Milton Ray Stringfield and Rhoda Rhodes. Nancy Ray Stringfield died in 1892.

     Rhoda Ann Stringfield was also known as "Rosanna". She was born in November 1829 at Sangamon Co., IL. She was the daughter of Milton Ray Stringfield and Rhoda Rhodes. Rhoda Ann Stringfield married Amory Oliver Hobbs, son of Joseph Hobbs and Anna Jones, in 1847 at Mexia, Limestone Co., TX. Rhoda Ann Stringfield died before 1880 at TX Oliver indicated he was widowed as of the 1880 census.¹

     Thomas Wesley Stringfield was born on 16 October 1837 at Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL. He was the son of Milton Ray Stringfield and Rhoda Rhodes. Thomas Wesley Stringfield married Sarah Jane Mills, daughter of James C. Mills and Malinda Moody. Thomas Wesley Stringfield died on 28 September 1870 at McMullen Co., TX, at age 32 The family was ambushed while travelling in their wagon, and massacred by a band of Indians raiding from Mexico. Thomas, Sarah and Adolphus were killed outright, Ida attempted escape and was speared 7 times and left for dead, and the fate of Thomas was never learned. Ida later recovered from her wounds and lived until 1937.

     William A. Stringfield was born in 1830 at Sangamon Co. (probably), IL. He was the son of Milton Ray Stringfield and Rhoda Rhodes.

     Jacob Stringley was born on 24 April 1781 at Hampshire Co., Virginia (now WV). He married Elizabeth Wanamaker. Jacob Stringley died on 1 July 1855 at Wyoming, Jones Co., IA, at age 74. He was buried in July 1855 at Cady Cemetery, Center Junction, Jones Co., IA, Findagrave #26007829.

     Susannah Stringley was born on 11 November 1811 at Ross Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Jacob Stringley and Elizabeth Wanamaker. Susannah Stringley married George Saum, son of Jacob Saum and Barbara Maurer, on 29 May 1834 at Warren Co., IN. Susannah Stringley died on 22 May 1873 at Jones Co., IA, at age 61 Obituary (Findagrave.com):

Susannah was born to Jacob and Elizabeth (Wanamaker) Stingley November 11, 1811 in Ross County, Ohio. Susannah's grandfather, Jacob, was a Revolutionary War soldier that fought in Hampshire County Virginia (now Hardy Co., WV). He and his wife are buried on the farm in Circleville, Pickaway, Ohio. He served in Stephen Ashby's Company of Rangers and under Capt. John Harness. Susannah's father, Jacob, fought in the War of 1812 and was given the land in Iowa as payment for his services.
She married George Saum May 29, 1834 in Warren County, Indiana
Three children were born to them in Indiana; Jacob D, Nicholas and Polly A. In June 1839 the family moved to Jones Co., IA settling at Walnut Grove, Rome township. Seven children were born at Walnut Grove of whom one died in infancy. The children were: Josephus, Hiram, Eliza, Mahala, George M., Percilla and the infant that died young. Susannah died on the home farm May 22, 1873.

She was buried in May 1873 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville, Cedar Co., IA, Findagrave #25621669.

     Catherine Strintz was born circa 1852 at Germany.¹ She married Herman Osterloh on 15 August 1878 at Logan Co., IL.

     Annie Elizabeth Strite was born on 19 October 1866. She was the daughter of Christian Strite and Annie E. Snively.

     Benjamin Stouffer Strite was born on 29 December 1869. He was the son of Christian Strite and Annie E. Snively.

     Charles Lesher Strite was born on 9 August 1872. He was the son of Christian Strite and Annie E. Snively.

     Christian Strite was born on 31 December 1838. He was the son of Christian Strite and Anna Wingert. Christian Strite married Annie E. Snively, daughter of Jacob Hege Snively and Catherine Stouffer, on 13 January 1859. Christian Strite died on 25 April 1901 at age 62.
