He was born Oct. 13, 1924, in Vinton County to Horace and Bertha Stuck. Charles moved to Massillon in 1943, and retired from Norfolk & Western Railroad after 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Massillon Lions Club and American Legion Post 221.
Charles served with the U.S. Army during World War II from November 1943 to December 1945. He served in the 1st Company, 47th Infantry, 9th Division in the European Theater. He received the Bronze Star, World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge and French Medaille Du Jubile Award.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Horace Jr. and Leland Stuck; and sisters, Garnet Herron and Mary Ruth Stuck.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Phyllis (Martin) Stuck; children, Bryan (Frances), Randy (Sharon), Leslie (Tonya), Barb (Ray) Kennedy and Charlene (John) Worrall; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose (Ray) Williams, Mildred (Dale) Rudy and Margie Reichel; and a sister-in-law, Ann Stuck.
A service to celebrate his life will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, with pastors Jeffrey Coggins and Julia Wertz officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens with full military honors.
The family will receive friends (tonight) Friday from 6-9 p.m. with the Massillon Lions holding their service at 5:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church's Building Fund or the Massillon Lions Club.

Bobby Jo Shelton passed away peacefully into the hands of God on March 12, 2010 at Settlers Ridge Care Center in Celina, TX at the age of 81 years. She was born April 21, 1928 at home in Arnett, OK to Bud and Oceola Stuckey. Her early years were spent in the Arnett area, and she graduated from Arnett High School. On February 16, 1946, she united in marriage with John Tom Shelton. Their early years of marriage were spent in northwest Oklahoma; Caldwell, Idaho; Pampa, Texas; and in 1959 they moved to Del City, OK. Tom and Bobby Jo were married for 58 years until Tom's passing in 2004. In November 2008 she moved to Sherman, Texas, due to health reasons. She enjoyed crafts, especially quilting and crocheting. It gave her great pleasure to share the works of her labor with family and friends. She was a member of Sunnylane United Meth-odist Church and United Methodist Women. She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Ross, and husband, Bill, of Howe, TX; her son, John Shelton, and wife, Sharon, of OKC; grandchildren: Kyle and Sharon Ross of Bryan, TX; Kathy and Paul Cavender of Van Alstyne, TX; Melissa and Martin Goldstein of Denver, CO; Alisha and Kevin Dunnington of OKC; plus seven great-grandchildren: Ruby and Sarah Ross, Zack Cavender, Avery and Rory Goldstein, and Henry and George Dunnington; and a large extended family, including her brothers: Jack Stuckey of Edmond, OK; Don Stuckey of Roaring Springs, TX; and a sister, Bernice Young of Albuquerque, NM.
