     Ida Sullivant was born in July 1893 at Coffey Co. (probably), KS.¹ She was the daughter of Starling Loving Sullivant and Jennie Lucetta Taylor.¹

     Jacob Sutton Sullivant was born on 4 September 1858. He was the son of William Starling Sullivant and Caroline Eudora Sutton. Jacob Sutton Sullivant lived in 1880 at Manhattan, New York Co., NY, living with mother in 1880 census.² He died in 1916 at Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OH.

     Jane Davison Sullivant was born on 3 March 1856 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH. She was the daughter of Joseph Sullivant and Elizabeth Underhill. Jane Davison Sullivant lived on 2 June 1900 at 24 Hoffman Avenue, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, teacher, single.² She died on 24 June 1929 at age 73. She was buried in June 1929 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Lot P, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH.

     Jane Marshall Sullivant was born on 11 December 1824 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH. She was the daughter of William Starling Sullivant and Jane Marshall. Jane Marshall Sullivant married Robert Elkin Neil, son of William Neil and Hannah Schwing, on 30 May 1843.¹ Jane Marshall Sullivant died on 31 July 1908 at age 83. She was buried in August 1908 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, Findagrave #21379259.

     Note: Joseph Sullivant, the youngest son of Lucas and Sarah (Starling) Sullivant, was born at Franklinton in 1809. From his early youth, Joseph was a serious student and was often found with a book in hand. He attended the first two classical schools in Columbus which his father had founded. He was then sent to the boarding school in Worthington under the management of the Rev. Philander Chase, then Bishop of Ohio. From Worthington, Joseph was transferred to Ohio University in Athens, and later entered Central College at Danville, Kentucky. For many years, Joseph devoted a great deal of time and attention to the public schools of Columbus. He was elected a member of the American Scientific Association, and appointed a member and treasurer of the Ohio State Board of Agriculture. Joseph was largely responsible for securing the Ohio Agricultural and Mechanical College (later to become The Ohio State University) for Columbus and was a trustee for many years.

Joseph Sullivant married Margaret Irvine McDowell, daughter of Col. Joseph McDowell and Sarah Irvine, on 17 June 1830 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH. Joseph Sullivant married Mary Eliza Brashear, daughter of Dennis Brashear and Lucinda McDowell, on 6 November 1832. Joseph Sullivant lived on 26 September 1850 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, merchant.² He married Elizabeth Underhill, daughter of John Underhill and Rebecca Underhill, on 8 December 1852.¹ Joseph Sullivant died on 24 June 1882 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, at age 72. He was buried in June 1882 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Lot P, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, Findagrave #13550757.

     Joseph Arthur Sullivant was born on 18 February 1847 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH.² He was the son of Joseph Sullivant and Mary Eliza Brashear. Joseph Arthur Sullivant lived on 2 June 1900 at 24 Hoffman Avenue, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, in his step-mother's household, real estate, single.³ He died on 6 February 1920 at age 72.

     Joseph Edmond Sullivant was also known as Joseph.² He was born circa 1907 at Geary Co., KS.¹ He was the son of Allen H. Sullivant and Mary S. Stilwell.¹

     Joseph M. Sullivant was born in January 1877 at Champaign Co. (probably), IL.^1,2 He was the son of Joseph McDowell Sullivant and Mary Allen.¹ Joseph M. Sullivant lived in 1900 at Rock Creek Twp., Coffey Co., KS, Living with brother Starling.² He died in 1923. He was buried in 1923 at Highland Cemetery, Junction City, Geary Co., KS, Findagrave #94632078.

     Joseph McDowell Sullivant was born on 22 February 1832 at Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH.² He was the son of Michael Lucas Sullivant and Sarah Lapsley McDowell. Joseph McDowell Sullivant married Mary Allen, daughter of Josiah Buffett Allen and Martha Frances Herrick, on 18 September 1861 at Muskingum Co., OH.¹ Joseph McDowell Sullivant died on 22 May 1900 at near Skiddy, Morris Co., KS, at age 68. He was buried in May 1900 at Highland Cemetery, Junction City, Geary Co., KS, Findagrave #94632082.

     Lucas Sullivant was born in September 1765 at Mecklenburg Co., VA. He was the son of Michael Sullivant and Hannah Lucas.
Note: As Deputy Surveyor to Col. Richard C. Anderson, Surveyor General of the Virginia Military Lands, Lucas Sullivant first came up the Scioto River to present-day Franklin County in 1795 with a surveying team. In 1797 he returned and laid out the town of Franklinton on the west bank of the Scioto River. Occupation: Surveyor, land speculator in the Virginia Military District, Ohio territory. Lucas Sullivant married Sarah Starling, daughter of Col. William Starling and Susannah Lyne, circa 1802 at Mason Co. (probably), KY. Lucas Sullivant began military service in 1813; an original member of the Franklinton Riflemen, served in War of 1812. He died on 8 August 1823 at Franklin Co., OH, at age 57. Cause of death: Typhus. He was buried in August 1823 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, Findagrave #15302775. Lucas, Sarah, their daughter Sarah Ann, and other Sullivant descendants who passed in the early decades of the ninetheenth were originally buried in the old Franklinton cemetery, but were removed to Green Lawn Cemetery in 1851 when it was opened.

     Lucas Sullivant was born on 19 November 1836. He was the son of William Starling Sullivant and Eliza Griscom Wheeler. Lucas Sullivant died on 21 February 1838 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, at age 1.

     Lucas Sullivant was born on 23 August 1838 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH.² He was the son of Joseph Sullivant and Mary Eliza Brashear. Lucas Sullivant married Clementina Dawson on 6 October 1859.¹ Lucas Sullivant lived in 1880 at Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO.³ He died on 20 October 1928 at age 90.

     Lucy Jane Sullivant was born on 10 February 1839 at Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH.² She was the daughter of Michael Lucas Sullivant and Sarah Lapsley McDowell. Lucy Jane Sullivant married William A. Hopkins on 4 November 1865 at Chicago, Cook Co., IL.³ Lucy Jane Sullivant died in 1918.

     Lucy Madison Sullivant was born on 10 December 1833 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH.^2,3 She was the daughter of Joseph Sullivant and Mary Eliza Brashear. Lucy Madison Sullivant married Gen. James Andrews Wilcox, son of Phineas Bacon Wilcox and Sarah D. Andrews, on 24 May 1853.¹ Lucy Madison Sullivant died on 15 September 1904 at age 70. She was buried in September 1904 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, Findagrave #73963399.

     Lyne Starling Sullivant was born on 21 November 1841 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, Birth date per "A Genealogy and Family Memorial" (by his father). 1900 census says December, 1842.² He was the son of Joseph Sullivant and Mary Eliza Brashear. Lyne Starling Sullivant lived in 1880 at Living with sister Pamela Neil, Paint Twp., Madison Co., OH, In the 1880 census, his age is listed as 37, which is one year less than the correct age in the summer of 1880, but this is the only L. S. Sullivant who would have been a brother in-law of Robert Neil whose age is close.³ Occupation: Traveling auditor for the railroad in 1900.⁴ He lived in June 1900 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, with his sister, Mary Hoffman. He died on 8 November 1925 at age 83.

     Magdalen McDowell Sullivant was born on 14 November 1842 at Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH. She was the daughter of Michael Lucas Sullivant and Sarah Lapsley McDowell. Magdalen McDowell Sullivant died on 15 September 1843 at Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH. She was buried in 1851 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, moved from the old Franklinton Cemetery where she was originally buried, along with her mother and siblings.

     Margaret Sullivant was also known as Madge. She was born on 28 November 1875 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH. She was the daughter of Lucas Sullivant and Clementina Dawson. Margaret Sullivant was buried in February 1964 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Lot P, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH. She died on 21 February 1964 at age 88.

Margaret Irvin Sullivant was born on 27 May 1831 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH.² She was the daughter of Joseph Sullivant and Margaret Irvine McDowell. Margaret Irvin Sullivant married Henry Beebe Carrington in December 1851. Margaret Irvin Sullivant died on 11 May 1870 at Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., IN, at age 38.³ She was buried in May 1870 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, Findagrave #39254634.

     Mary Sullivant was born circa 1762 at Mecklenburg Co., VA. She was the daughter of Michael Sullivant and Hannah Lucas. Mary Sullivant married John Hayles on 26 May 1783 at Mecklenburg Co., VA, William Baskerville, Secretary; note from William Starling.      Mary Sullivant was born circa 1731. She was the daughter of Michael Sullivan and Joyce Dupree. Mary Sullivant married Thomas Price.

     Mary Allen Sullivant was born on 25 August 1872 at Homer, Champaign Co., IL. She was the daughter of Joseph McDowell Sullivant and Mary Allen. Mary Allen Sullivant married Lee Sturges, son of Frank Sturges and Lily L. Lee, on 1 October 1890 at Skiddy, Morris Co., KS.² Mary Allen Sullivant died on 9 June 1949 at age 76. She was buried in June 1949 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Geneva, Walworth Co., WI, Findagrave #107589953.

     Mary Eliza Sullivant was born on 7 July 1844 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH.² She was the daughter of Joseph Sullivant and Mary Eliza Brashear. Mary Eliza Sullivant married Ripley C. Hoffman. Mary Eliza Sullivant was buried in 1905 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Lot P, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH. She died in 1905.

     Mary S. Sullivant was born circa 1902 at Geary Co., KS.¹ She was the daughter of Allen H. Sullivant and Mary S. Stilwell.¹

     Mary Starling Sullivant was born on 12 May 1841 at Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH. She was the daughter of Michael Lucas Sullivant and Sarah Lapsley McDowell. Mary Starling Sullivant died in July 1841 at Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH.¹

     Michael Sullivant was born circa 1717. He was the son of Michael Sullivan. Michael Sullivant married Hannah Lucas, daughter of John Lucas and Mary Ropeta. Michael Sullivant lived at Mecklenburg Co., VA. He died at Mecklenburg Co., VA.

     Michael Sullivant was born. He was the son of Michael Sullivant and Hannah Lucas. Michael Sullivant died before 1781 at Mecklenburg Co., VA. Cause of death: Drowned crossing the Roanoke River while taking tobacco to market.¹

     Note: Michael L. Sullivant, the second son of Lucas Sullivant and Sarah Starling, was born August 6, 1807 in Franklinton. He was educated at Ohio University in Athens, and Central College, Danville, Kentucky. Very early in life, Michael selected farming as a profession. The fine tract of land which he inherited from his father's estate afforded the opportunity to carry out his farming objectives. He engaged largely in the raising of cattle and drove them to eastern markets for sale. Michael operated his large farm near Franklinton until 1854 when he relocated to Ford County, Illinois. In Illinois, he secured a large amount of land at government prices and became one of the leading farmers of the day at his Burr Oaks estate. He died January 28, 1879, leaving a widow and several children.

NOTE: 1860 census shows the Michael Sullivant family living at Franklinton, and all the children born there (Ohio), so the actual relocation of the family to Ford County, Illinois obviously occurred after that date. DLB 2010.

Michael Lucas Sullivant was born on 6 August 1807 at Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH. He was the son of Lucas Sullivant and Sarah Starling. Michael Lucas Sullivant married Sarah Lapsley McDowell, daughter of Col. Joseph McDowell and Sarah Irvine, on 27 June 1827.¹ Michael Lucas Sullivant married Fanny Willes, daughter of Luther Willes and Fanny Willey, on 10 October 1854.² Michael Lucas Sullivant lived in 1864 at Burr Oak Farm, Ford Co., IL. He died on 28 January 1879 at age 71 on the steamboat "James Guthrie", on the Ohio River, near Owensboro, Kentucky. He was on his way to Louisville, having just visited a daughter at Henderson. He was buried in February 1879 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Lot P, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, Findagrave #13587271.

     Michael Lucas Sullivant was born on 20 December 1835 at Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH. He was the son of Michael Lucas Sullivant and Sarah Lapsley McDowell. Michael Lucas Sullivant died on 5 December 1837 at Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH, at age 1.
