Cameron and Florence H. Garretson, in 1954, (William's 12 January 2014 obit says they were married 59 years.) They had six grandchildren.

Georgia Sue Talbot lived in 2014 at Stone Mountain, DeKalb Co., GA. She died in October 2021 at age 85

Georgia Sue Talbot Cameron was born in Pratt, Kansas, on November 21, 1935, to Gilbert and Margo Talbot.

Sue and her “Sweet William” moved to Stone Mountain, Georgia in 1970. She was a Girl Scout leader from 1971-1980. Sue was a strong, active supporter of scouting. Bill and Sue loved camping and traveling the country with their family. She worked for both Drs. William and Robert Marshall from 1985 until her retirement in 2019. Sue was an active member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church until she moved to be with her daughter.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William Cameron. She is survived by her daughters, Sherri Ogle and Christy Waits (Mark); her grandchildren Jason Wade (Rosie), Thomas Dougherty (Tierra), Billy Fulcher (Dakota), Iris Waits, Logan Waits and Sophia Waits; and one great-grandson, Zane Fulcher. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Carolyn Andrews.

A celebration of life will be held at Snellville United Methodist Church, 2428 Main St. E., Snellville, GA 30078, on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Hospice of Northeast Georgia in Gainesville, GA or to a charity of your choice.


Note: Georgia S. Talbot, age 15, residence 122 1/2 Stone Wall, San Antonio, TX , birthplace Kansas, is listed on a 28 FEB 1951 departing passenger list for the USNS General R. E. Callan, bound for Bremerhaven, Germany, expected length to remain abroad three years. An Ernest L. Chambers is listed at that same San Antonio address in the 1948 city directory -- he may have been her step-father.

Gilbert Evermont Talbot

     Gilbert Evermont Talbot was also known as "Mutt". He was born on 16 July 1912 at San Marcial, Socorro Co., NM, WW II draft registration.1 He was the son of Gilbert L. Talbot and Georgia F. Ward.1 Gilbert Evermont Talbot married Marguerite Medora Davault, daughter of Frederick Adolph Davault and Alma Sue Dyerly, circa 1934, This marriage apparently ended about 1940. In October, 1940 Gilbert was living in Hood County, Oregon and listed his father as his next of kin on his WW II draft registration. According to the Social Security Applications and Claims Index, by August, 1944 Marguerite was remarried to Ernest L. Chambers. Marguerite Chambers is listed in several San Antonio, Texas, city directories during the late 1940s and early 1950s, where she worked as a clerk for a Chevrolet automobile dealer. Marguerite later married Roland W. "Rollie" Funk (1913 - 2000) on 14 OCT 1987 at Carson City, Nevada.

Gilbert Evermont Talbot lived in 1936 at 210 West Second Street, Pratt, Pratt Co., KS, city directory. He lived on 10 April 1940 at Hutchinson, Reno Co., KS, manager, retail grocery store.2 He lived on 16 October 1940 at Cascade Locks, Hood River Co., OR, WW II draft registration, working, gave his father's name and address as his next of kin. He began military service on 1 July 1943 WW II service, U.S. Army, enlisted, released 5 DEC 1945. He died in April 1986 at age 73. He was buried in 1986 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, Pratt Co., KS, Findagrave #76144497.
