Frank moved as a young boy from Kansas to Adams Co. near Mercer Center. He lived in the Adams county area all of his life, graduating from Prescott High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Army, serving in WWII from June 1942 to August 1945. Upon Frank's discharge he married Thelma Faye Miller on June 2,1946 at the Presbyterian Church in Corning, Iowa. They had 2 children; Elaine and John.
He was a farmer and farmed the same land for over 62 years.
He was a member of the Cromwell Congregational Church before transferring to the First Christian Church of Creston. Frank was also a Mason and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma; daughter, Elaine Young-Myers; and a son John (Mary)Tallmon; granddaughter, 4 grandsons, 2 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law; Bonnie Tallmon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, George and Ralph Tallmon; sister, Margaret Walter; nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Catherine Miller.

NORMAN – Rites for Mrs. Tina Friend, 79, Rush Springs, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, in the Assembly of God church, Taloga, with burial in the Taloga cemetery. Primrose funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Friend died Monday.
She was born in Mirna (sic) county, Kan., and came to Oklahoma at the age of 8. She lived in Dewey and Woods counties 30 years, in Moore four years and in Rush Springs the past three years. She was a member of the Assembly of God church.
Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Lula Brown, Perry; Mrs. Mary Alice Brown, Fresno, Calif. Mrs. Flora Mae Baisdon, Milpitas, Calif; Mrs. Pearl Jones Rush Springs; Mrs. Opal French, Olympia, Wash; Mrs. Goldie Smith, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Verna Ashcraft, Rush Springs.
Also two sisters, Mrs. Dora Ellis, Joplin, Mo., and Mrs. Nora Bobbitt, Glendale, Ariz; 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was buried in November 1958 at Mound Cemetery, Taloga, Dewey Co., OK, Findagrave #93196164.

NORMAN – Rites for Mrs. Tina Friend, 79, Rush Springs, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, in the Assembly of God church, Taloga, with burial in the Taloga cemetery. Primrose funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Friend died Monday.
She was born in Mirna (sic) county, Kan., and came to Oklahoma at the age of 8. She lived in Dewey and Woods counties 30 years, in Moore four years and in Rush Springs the past three years. She was a member of the Assembly of God church.
Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Lula Brown, Perry; Mrs. Mary Alice Brown, Fresno, Calif. Mrs. Flora Mae Baisdon, Milpitas, Calif; Mrs. Pearl Jones Rush Springs; Mrs. Opal French, Olympia, Wash; Mrs. Goldie Smith, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Verna Ashcraft, Rush Springs.
Also two sisters, Mrs. Dora Ellis, Joplin, Mo., and Mrs. Nora Bobbitt, Glendale, Ariz; 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was buried in November 1958 at Mound Cemetery, Taloga, Dewey Co., OK, Findagrave #93196164.
