     Rachel Wells Tallman was born on 11 August 1809 at Fairfield Co., OH. She was the daughter of Samuel Tallman and Sarah Wells. Rachel Wells Tallman married J. B. Dorsey in 1828 at Fairfield Co., OH. Rachel Wells Tallman died on 5 June 1832 at Fairfield Co., OH, at age 22.

     Ralph Tallman was born in March 1885 at Kansas.¹ He was the son of Frank Tallman and Rhoda Carter.

     Ralph Harlan Tallman was born in 1885. He was the son of James Henton Tallman and Margie Bonney. Ralph Harlan Tallman married Hazel Verne Hall.

     Ralph Wilbur Tallman was born on 5 February 1928 at Bakersfield, Kern Co., CA. He was the son of Arthur Dewey Tallman and Zulo Emerson. Ralph Wilbur Tallman died on 5 January 1999 at Bakersfield, Kern Co., CA, at age 70. He was buried at Green Lawn South Cemetery, Bakersfield, Kern Co., CA.

     Ray Tallman was born on 23 July 1910. He was the son of David Roger Tallman and Cora Farmer.

     Ray C. Tallman was born in 1893. He was the son of Benjamin Franklin Tallman and Mary Lydia Helfenstine.

     Raymond Edward Tallman was born on 15 September 1920. He was the son of Arthur Jay Tallman and Ruth Woltz. Raymond Edward Tallman died in June 1986 at Panorama City, Los Angeles Co., CA, at age 65 Death date and last location from SSDI.

     Rebecca Tallman was born on 31 August 1725 at Tiverton, Newport Co., RI. She was the daughter of John Tallman and Anna Bennett.

     Rebecca Ann Tallman was born on 8 June 1799 at Rockingham Co., VA. She was the daughter of James Boone Tallman and Nancy Elizabeth Crawford.

He studied at Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, Iowa. In 1871, he went with his brother, N.C. Tallman to Paton Twp., Greene Co. He raised hogs and cattle in conjunction with wheat, corn and other cereals on his splendidly improved farm comprising 320 acres, Section 16. A Republican, he attended the Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1885, he married Miss Sarah Ellen Willett. They had nine children. It is interesting to note here that Susie Violet Tallman, 4th child of Reuben S. and Sarah Tallman, married a man named Harry Edward Terrell. He compiled the manuscript "Supplement to Elmer Tallman's 'Descendants of Peter Tallman' by Harry Terrell" We can be safe in assuming that the author (Elmer T.), was Elmer Willett Tallman, son of Reuben S. Tallman! Reuben S. Tallman spent the days of his boyhood and youth on his father's farm in Jones county and is largely indebted to the public school system of that locality for the educational privileges he enjoyed. However, he spent one year as a student in Cornell College at Mount Vernon, Iowa, but had to abandon his college course on account of illness. In 1871, in company with his brother, Nathanial Tallman, he came to Greene county and here he purchased on hundred and sixty acres of school land. He and his brother were the first settlers of Paton township and built the first residence within it borders. Mr. Tallman of this review is therefore with his brother the oldest settlers of the township. Reuben Sanford Tallman was born on 10 October 1848 at Viroqua (now Morley), Jones Co., IA. He was the son of John Commadore Tallman Jr. and Lucinda Lowe. Reuben Sanford Tallman married Sarah Ellen Willett, daughter of Morgan Willett and Mary Ellen Brown, on 26 August 1885 at Pilot Mound, Boone Co., IA. Reuben Sanford Tallman died on 17 April 1913 at Paton, Greene Co., IA, at age 64.

     Reuben Sanford Tallman was born on 27 July 1901 at Paton, Greene Co., IA. He was the son of Reuben Sanford Tallman and Sarah Ellen Willett.

     Rhoda M. Tallman was born on 3 March 1915. She was the daughter of Augustus Ralph Tallman and Ida Marquardt. Rhoda M. Tallman married Harold Pohlman, son of William Pohlman and Elsie (?), on 21 April 1935.

     Richard Tallman was born in October 1860 at Shelby Co., IN.¹ He was the son of Cyrus Gamon Tallman and Nancy E. Hull. Richard Tallman married Jennie Matthews circa 1891.¹ Richard Tallman lived in 1900 at Washington Twp., Smith Co., KS.¹ He died in 1904.

     Richard Bertram Tallman was born in 1915. He was the son of John Chancy Tallman and Nellie R. Curry.

     Richard Brown Tallman was born on 18 September 1807 at Canal Winchester, Franklin Co., OH. He was the son of Samuel Tallman and Sarah Wells. Richard Brown Tallman married Mary Boone Taylor circa 1835. Richard Brown Tallman died in 1854.

     Richard Dean Tallman was born on 27 October 1899 at Grand Island, Hall Co., NE. He was the son of William Gilmore Tallman and Edith A. Dean.

     Robert Bernard Tallman married Mary C. Brown. Robert Bernard Tallman was born in 1894. He was the son of Robert Boone Tallman and Mary C. Clesson. Robert Bernard Tallman died in 1954.

     Robert Boone Tallman was born in 1820. He was the son of Benjamin Tallman and Elizabeth Warwick. Robert Boone Tallman married Nancy Conley Hamilton circa 1841. Robert Boone Tallman died on 6 November 1861 at Union Camp, Flatwoods, Braxton Co., WV, Typhoid fever. He was buried in November 1861 at Tallmansville, Upshur Co., WV.

     Robert Mansell Tallman was born on 22 July 1927 at Minnesota.¹ He was the son of Mansell Tallman and Alice Narberg. Robert Mansell Tallman died on 31 August 1996 at Leavenworth Co., KS, at age 69 Dates per SSDI, last residence Leavenworth.

     Robert Winfield Tallman was born on 4 September 1927 at Paton, Greene Co., IA. He was the son of Theron H. Tallman and Ruth Marjorie Musser. Robert Winfield Tallman married Gloria Ann Smith, daughter of Lloyd Smith and Lucille (?). Robert Winfield Tallman died on 13 February 1995 at Des Moines, Polk Co., IA, at age 67.

     Roland Dale Tallman was born on 1 November 1932. He was the son of Gerald Salathiel Tallman and Bernice V. Neuens. Roland Dale Tallman began military service on 12 March 1951 Korean War service, U.S. Navy, CS3, discharged 11 MAR 1955. He married Edith Marie Snow in March 1965 at Pierce Co., WA; License issue reported in the 23 MAR 1965 edition of The Tacoma News Tribune, page 11 (Newspapers.com). Roland Dale Tallman died on 5 August 2004 at age 71

Roland “Pete” D. Tallman
Passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Aug. 5, 2004. He was 71. Pete was one of the few remaining Smelter workers that once made up the fabric of Ruston. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Edith; daughter Terry; son Michael (Tiffany); grandchildren Desi and Justin. Dad was a honorable man who has left us with great memories.
