     Mary Ann Taylor was born on 25 May 1828. She was the daughter of John Clark Taylor and Rachel C. Cole.

     Mary Arizona Taylor was born on 5 December 1884 at Hot Spring Co. (probably), AR.¹ She was the daughter of George Millard Taylor and Josephine Stone.¹ Mary Arizona Taylor died on 14 October 1948 at North Little Rock, Pulaski Co., AR, at age 63.

     Mary Boone Taylor was born on 30 March 1816 at Canal Winchester, Franklin Co., OH. She married Richard Brown Tallman, son of Samuel Tallman and Sarah Wells, circa 1835.

     Mary Catherine Taylor was born circa 1855 at Union Twp., Fayette Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of William Newton Taylor and Rebecca Coil.

     Mary Elizabeth Taylor was also known as "Betty". She was born on 20 April 1824 at Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. She was the daughter of Gen. Zachary Taylor and Margaret Mackall Smith. Mary Elizabeth Taylor married Col. William Wallace Smith Bliss on 5 December 1848. Mary Elizabeth Taylor married Philip Pendleton Dandridge on 11 February 1868. Mary Elizabeth Taylor died on 25 July 1909 at Winchester, Frederick Co., VA, at age 85

"Mrs. Dandridge was in the eighty-sixth year of her age, having been born at what is now Fort Snelling, on the Mississippi River, in Minnesota, on April 20, 1824. She was the third daughter of President Taylor. Mrs. Dandridge's mother was Margaret Mackall Smith, a member of a distinguished Maryland family. Her first husband was Col. William Wallace Bliss, whom she married in 1848. Colonel Bliss died near New Orleans on August 5, 1853.

"As Mrs. Bliss, Mrs. Dandridge presided over the White House at Washington during the 16 months her father was president, her mother being an invalid. She was noted for her grace and charm and the elegance of her entertainments.

"Some years after the death of Colonel Bliss she married Philip Pendleton Dandridge, member of the prominent Virginia family of that name and came to Winchester to live in 1858. Her second husband died in 1882.

"The elder sister of Mrs. Dandridge, Sarah Knox Taylor, was the first wife of Jefferson Davis. Another sister was the wife of Dr. Wood, former surgeon general of the United States Army. Her only brother was Gen. Richard Taylor, a distinguished Confederate general.

"The pallbearers were Dr. William P. McGuire, John W. Rice, H. D. Fuller, Dr. William S. Love, Major Holmes Conrad, Major Eugene W. Baylor, Major Robert W. Hunter and Shirley Carter, all of Winchester; John E. Boyd, of Martinsburg, W. Va., and L. P. Dandridge, of the Bower, Jefferson county, W. Va.

"One of the pallbearers, Mr. John E. Boyd, of Martinsburg, W. Va., owes his life to the late Mrs. Dandridge. During the Civil War she was a strong Southern sympathizer and was a friend of many soldiers in the Confederate Army. While General Sheridan and his troops were encamped in this city John Boyd, a Confederate soldier, started to visit his home, at the Lefever place, near Bunkerhill, Berkeley county, W. Va., and when it became known that he was here and his presence betrayed by servants he was arrested, imprisoned and condemned to die.

"From the window of his lonely cell he could see workmen erecting his scaffold and others making his coffin. Efforts made by friends to save him were futile, and Mrs. Dandridge, upon learning of his plight, went in person to General Sheridan and interceded for him, with the result that his death sentence was changed to that of imprisonment, and later he was exchanged and returned to the Confederate Army."

     Mary Glen Taylor was born on 12 July 1902 at Zora, Benton Co., MO. She was the daughter of Luther Woodson Taylor and Vernie Elizabeth Ziegel. Mary Glen Taylor married Ralph Boyd Newell, son of Plimpton Kelly Newell and Mary Elizabeth Morford, on 26 January 1928 at Hutchinson, Reno Co., KS. Mary Glen Taylor died on 30 December 1995 at Stafford, Stafford Co., KS, at age 93. She was buried in January 1996 at Stafford Cemetery, Stafford, Stafford Co., KS.

     Mary Jane Taylor was born in 1833 at Fleming Co., KY. She was the daughter of Tarpley D. Taylor and Lydia Seacrest.

     Mary Jane Taylor was born on 9 April 1836 at Carter Co., TN.¹ She was the daughter of Caswell Cunningham Taylor and Nancy Duncan. Mary Jane Taylor married Abdiel N. Kitzmiller, son of Martin Kitzmiller Jr. and Rebecca Duncan, on 30 January 1855 at Tennessee. Mary Jane Taylor married S. H. Millard after 3 June 1870. Orphan. Merritt Edward Taylor was born on 22 August 1864. He was the son of Edward Taylor and Ellen Atwood. Merritt Edward Taylor married Laura Jane Adams, daughter of William J. Adams and Hannah Lavina Starr, on 9 March 1887. Merritt Edward Taylor died on 9 October 1958 at age 94.

Obituary -- (Findagrave.com):

US Congressman. He was taught at private schools in Jonesboro, Tennessee before attending Princeton University. Admitted to the bar, he commenced law practice in Elizabethton, Tennessee before being elected as a Whig to fill the seat of Brookins Campbell in the 33rd Congress. Taylor ran unsuccessfully for re-election for the 34th Congress, but when Tennessee re-entered the Union in 1865 following the Civil War, he was elected to serve the 39th Congress as a member of the Unionist Party. His sons, Alfred Alexander Taylor and Robert Love Taylor, both served as US Congressmen and as Tennessee Governors, with Robert also serving in the US Senate.
