     Lawrence Lyle Thomas was born on 7 March 1930 at Muskingum Co., OH. He was the son of Ernest Edgar Thomas and Mary Margaret Deitrick. Lawrence Lyle Thomas lived on 15 April 1940 at Brush Creek Twp., Muskingum Co., OH, with his uncle Robert Deitrick's family.¹ He lived between 1993 and 1995 at 67770 Brokaw Road, St. Clairsville, Belmont Co., OH. He died on 16 April 2014 at Bonita Springs, Lee Co., FL, at age 84.

     Lee Sturges Thomas was born on 1 March 1918. He was the son of John Elmer Thomas and Mary Allen Sturges. Lee Sturges Thomas died in 1982.

     Leroy S. Thomas was born on 12 June 1909 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., PA.¹ He was the son of George Thomas and Ella Levens.

     Levi Thomas was born circa 1830 at Ohio. He married Hannah Reese, daughter of Rowland Reese and Elizabeth Musser, before 17 July 1860 at Hancock Co. (probably), OH.

     Levi L. Thomas was born on 25 November 1853 at Monroe Co., OH. He married Lucinda Aikens on 3 May 1878 at Ohio. Levi L. Thomas died on 29 May 1915 at Carroll, Carroll Co., IA, at age 61

June 3, 1915 - Carroll Times - Levi L. Thomas, for thirty-two years a resident of Carroll, died at his home in the northeast part of the city, Saturday, May 29th, death being the result of paralytic stroke accompanied by other ailments.

The deceased was born at Somerton, Monroe county, Ohio, November 25, 1853, and was in his sixty-second year at time of his death. All his earlier years were spent in his native state and he was married in Ohio, to Miss Lucinda Akins, who survives him, on May 3, 1878.

Three children were born to them, all of whom are living. They are Chauncey Thomas, of Boone, Iowa; Mrs. Ella Allen, of Dedham, Iowa; and Clarence Thomas, of Carroll. About five years after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Thomas moved from Barnesville, Ohio, to Carroll, where they have since resided.

Mr. Thomas' parents were Jonas and Phoebe Thomas and belonged to the Quaker persuasion, in which sect the son was reared and from which he never withdrew. He joined the Odd Fellows Lodge in Carroll many years ago and has been a loyal and active member of that fraternity. Mr. Thomas was one of the party of Odd Fellows who attended a large lodge gathering at Jefferson in January of last year, returning from which one of the party, James Thompson, died on the road. Mr. Thomas was seated beside Mr. Thompson and the discovery that the latter was dead, which was not made until their arrival in Carroll, was a great shock to him.

For more than twenty years he has been a member of the Carroll Fire department and for a good part of that time has served as captain of the Hook and Ladder Company. The deceased was in demand when faithful placing of advertising matter was desired.

The funeral was held on Monday at the M.E. church conducted by the pastor, Rev. S.G. Lewis, and the Firemen of the city attended in uniform. The Odd Fellows lodge had charge of the services at the grave.

     Lewis Thomas was born on 11 April 1831 at OH. He married Sarah Jane Callison, daughter of Arthur Callison and Mary Margaret Leffel, on 2 October 1856 at Clark Co., OH. Lewis Thomas died on 10 January 1906 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, at age 74.

     Lorraine Thomas was born on 1 June 1921 at Fairplay, Washington Co., MD.¹ She was the daughter of Daniel M. Thomas and Mary O. Long.¹

     Lotus Emigene Thomas was born on 26 August 1918 at Contra Costa Co., CA; daughter of Elmer Calvin and Lotus Rodine (Farley) Thomas.¹ She married Robert Thomas Reeves, son of Nathaniel Dulaney Reeves and Hannah Lewis, Lotus remarried to Robert H. McCallum on 27 JAN 1942.¹ Lotus Emigene Thomas and Robert Thomas Reeves were divorced before January 1942. Lotus Emigene Thomas died on 9 August 2007 at age 88

Mom was more beautiful inside than outside...She was someone to go see...To have her hear you out and help solve a personal or family problem...She was a senior leader of the Church as was her husband[ dad] of 68 some odd years...They were a true team in life ...the perfect match for each other....They were wonderful folks to their sons being involved in all aspects of our bring up through grade school...They were leaders in school...Pta presidents, scout master and cub leader,sport coaches and followers of our teams or events we were involved in... Dad unfortunately followed mom's passing six months later[92] with a broken heart...He looked at her picture that is in this memorial most of everyday hanging over the TV and kept him comfortable and cozy with thoughts of their wonderful life together...They got to travel around the world. They had many friends, most preceded tham into the great beyond...They were the most precious people I've ever came across and I miss them both very deeply....

     Lucy Hale Thomas was born circa 1926. She was the daughter of John Elmer Thomas and Mary Allen Sturges. Lucy Hale Thomas died on 14 February 2005.

     Lucy Nell Thomas was born on 29 December 1890 at Jonesborough, Washington Co., TN.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Burgess Thomas and Mary Louise DeVault. Lucy Nell Thomas died on 7 August 1971 at Washington Co., TN, at age 80. She was buried in August 1971 at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Jonesborough, Washington Co., TN.

ZANESVILLE: Marian Ruth Thomas, 99 of Zanesville, OH died 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice. She was born Saturday, September 17, 1910 in Saltillo, the daughter of T.W. Thomas and Martha E. (Finley) Thomas and was a member of First Christian Church.

Marian is survived by three nieces, Virginia Mattingly of Toledo, Martha Stemm of Zanesville and Shirley (Thomas) Smith of Lake Wylie, SC; two nephews, William Thomas of Zanesville, and Larry (Charlotte) Thomas of St. Clairesville (sic); four special great nieces, Shannan Smith Hearne, Haydan Smith, Hanna Hearne and Heidi Hearne, Clover, SC.

In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Thomas and infant sister Nellie; one brother, Ernest E. Thomas; and two nephews-in-law, Richard Mattingly and Rolland Stemm; and a niece-in-law, Lucille Thomas.

Private family viewing and services will take place at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. Burial will follow Mt. Horeb Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter, 1430 Newark Road, Zanesville, OH 43701 or Genesis Morrison House Hospice, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, in Marian’s memory.

Mrs. Martha Kate Jackson, 90, 828 W. Maple St., died Sunday, Oct. 15, 1989, at Colonial Hill Health Center after a lengthy illness.
She was a Washington County native and a daughter of the late Charles Burgess and Mary Louise DeVault Thomas.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She attended East Tennessee State University and was a Carson-Newman College graduate.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of the State of Franklin Daughters of the American Revolution and the Schubert Club, both of Jonesborough.
She was a retired teacher having taught in Georgia and Jonesborough.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rance Jackson, in 1976, and by four sisters and one brother.
Survivors include one daughter, Julia A. Hale, Johnson City; two granddaughters, Allison Hale, Raleigh, N.C. and Mrs. Martha Strasser, Cary, N.C; one grandson, Stephen hale, Johnson City; eight nieces; and one nephew.

Funeral services for Kate Jackson, 90, who died Sunday, will be held at 8 P.M. Tuesday in the East Chapel of Appalachian-Hartman Funeral Home with Rev. R. Willard Warfield officiating. Burial will follow at 10 A.M. Wednesday in the Monte Vista Burial Park. Those desiring to attend the Graveside services are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:45 A.M. Wednesday.
