TOBIAS, Robert Jay age 75 of Bellbrook, passed away Sunday April 8, 2007 unexpectedly. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Lorell; four brothers, Lamar, Russ, Elwood and Bill; and sister Helen. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Helen, son and daughter-in-law Steve and D'ann Tobias of Bellbrook, OH; two grandchildren Joshua and Melanie (Ryan) Meno; sisters Elaine (Don) Donaldson of Dayton, OH and Betty (Harry) Kiefaber of Stone Mountain, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Ann and Bill Purdy of Spencerville, OH; and numerous other relatives and friends. Bob worked at NCR Corp. until being hired as a fire fighter at WPAFB through 1969 at which time he finished his working career at Tobias Funeral Home. He was a volunteer fire fighter with the city of Kettering for many years leaving as Captain of Station 4. After moving to Bellbrook he became involved in City Government, first serving with the Board of Zoning Appeals before being elected to the City Council serving for 12 years.
