Sam died 1829, leaving Elizabeth with 3 sons and 3 daughters. "The widow Tobias married Michael Swigart and lived to be seventy-six years of age, her death occurring in 1871"

"Following the death of his father, William Tobias was taken into the home of Peter Swigart, a brother of his stepfather and there he remained until he was 21 years of age. ... William Tobias was twice married. On December 24, 1846 he was united in marriage to Sarah Swigart, who died in 1851 at the age of 24 years, leaving two sons, Martin Luther and Samuel, both of whom are now deceased, the former of whom became a farmer in Beavercreek township and the latter of whom made his home in Dayton. Martin Tobias was twice married. By his first wife Christine Peeples he had two children, Edgar and Clara, and by his second wife Mary Barnhart he had three children, Homer, Harold, and Howard. On June 19, 1852 William Tobias married secondly Jane Miller who was born in Bath township November 25, 1824, daughter of James and Elizabeth (Wheeler) Miller." (note: Homer, Harold, and Howard were actually the sons of Samuel Tobias.)

     William Isaac Tobias was born in August 1867 at Greene or Montgomery Co., OH, 1900 census entry legible as to month but not year -- 1880 age 12 indicates that 1867 was the year.^2,1 He was the son of Samuel William Tobias and Mary Swigart.¹ William Isaac Tobias married Ella K. (?) circa 1895.¹

     Anna Tobin was born in November 1868 at Missouri.¹ She married (?) Keene circa 1888.¹

     Henry Tobin was born on 17 April 1831. He married Mary Ann Creamer, daughter of Joseph Barnes Creamer and Elizabeth Life, in 1853.

     Lawrence Tobin was born circa 1854 at Ohio.¹ He married Margaret L. Koons on 24 September 1878 at Webster Co., NE, Margaret later remarried to James R. Mattock in 1888. Lawrence Tobin lived on 17 June 1880 at Glenwood Precinct, Webster Co., NE, farming.¹ He died on 3 April 1884.      Mary Josephine Tobin was born in November 1884 at Webster Co., NE, 1900 census lists her birth year as 1885, however there are two items indicating that it was actually 1884: (a) her father died in APR 1884, and (b) the JUN 1885 Nebraska state census of Webster and Wheeler Counties lists her as 6/12 in age, which is a good match to a NOV 1884 birth date.¹ She was the daughter of Lawrence Tobin and Margaret L. Koons. Mary Josephine Tobin married Charles Wirt McClure, son of William Montgomery McClure and Lida Rose Heagler, on 8 March 1905 at Bladen, Webster Co., NE. Mary Josephine Tobin lived on 6 May 1910 at Glenwood Twp., Webster Co., NE, farming.² She lived in January 1920 at Glenwood Precinct, Webster Co., NE, farming.³ She died in June 1951 at age 66.      Col. Charles Stewart Todd was born on 22 January 1791 at Danville, Lincoln Co., KY. He was the son of Judge Thomas Todd and Elizabeth Harris. Col. Charles Stewart Todd began military service Was on Gen. Benjamin Harrison's staff and served with distinction in War of 1812. He married Letitia Shelby, daughter of Gov. Isaac Shelby and Susannah Hart, on 18 June 1816.
