William Wagner1
M, b. circa 1852, d. before 1 June 1880
William Wagner was born circa 1852 at Michigan.1 He died before 1 June 1880 at Black Hawk Co. (probably), IA.
Child of William Wagner
- Robert Henry Wagner+ b. 3 May 1874, d. 6 Oct 1915; This relationship is not proven, but is based on the following circumstantial evidence:
Robert is found in 1880 in the household of his grandfather, Robert Wagner, born Pennsylvania about 1834, and living in Big Creek Twp., Black Hawk County. In the 1870 census, this Robert Wagner and his wife Flora were also living in the same township, with sons William, 18, and Jacob, 14. In 1880, neither William nor Jacob Wagner are found in the census. With Robert's birth about 1874, it would appear that Jacob Wagner was too young to have married and had a son, but William would have been 22 in 1874, so he seems to be the likely father. DLB 20121
