Survivors include his wife, Shirley; sons, Dwain Walters of Birmingham and Daniel Walters of Peoria, Ill; mother, Beverly of Clinton; and three sisters, Debra Swaim of Huntsville, Ala., and Julie Hansen and Jan Earhart, both of Clinton.
