Frank S Wamer, 75, of 527 W High St, died at 10:55 PM Saturday in City Hospital following a three years of failing health.
He was born in Pickaway County, Ohio, July 5, 1888, the son of Edward and Sarah Wamer. He resided in Springfield most of his life.
He is survived by his widow, Iva; two sons, Kenneth of Dayton and Franklin in the US Air Force; six daughters, Mrs Carrie Roush, Mrs Esther Boswell, Mrs Mary Perkins, and Miss Mertilla Wamer, all of Springfield, Mrs Dorothy Wilson of Lynchburg, Ohio; and Mrs Betty Conrad of Dayton; two step-sons, Raymond and James Stumbo, both of Springfield; three step-daughters, Mrs Maxine Van Hooses, Mrs Marie Smith and Mrs Lorna Roland, all of Springfield; one sister, Mrs Sarah Schrader, of Springfield; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home, where friends may call from 7 PM Monday. Services will be held in the memorial home at 1:30 Pm Wednesday.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Glenna "Granny" Buchanan, age 83, of Enid died early Friday, October 14, 2005 at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital following a period of ill health.

She was born July 7, 1922 in Enid, OK to Arthur and Reba Henry Wampler. She married Kenneth Buchanan February 6, 1943 in Wichita Falls, TX. She worked and was co-owner with her husband at the Tia Juana Restaurant for 60 years and was known to friends and customers as "Granny."' She attended Oklahoma A--M College. She worked at the aircraft company in Oklahoma City during WWII. She helped her dad at Wampler Transfer Company.

One grandson, Lyle, preceded her in death in 1997.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 17, 205 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Wade will officiate. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was buried in October 2005 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, Garfield Co., OK, Findagrave #135447471.

George Wanger1

M, b. 26 September 1820, d. 30 December 1876
     George Wanger was born on 26 September 1820 at Berks Co., PA.1 He was the son of Abraham Wanger and Mary Berge.1 George Wanger married Rebecca Price, daughter of Rev. John Price and Mary Rinehart, on 19 January 1851.1 George Wanger died on 30 December 1876 at age 56 George Wanger was born and raised in Berks Co; while a young man removed with his parents to N. Coventry Township and on the death of his father, acquired his farm of about 100 acres. He was of Mennonite descent but for a number of years was on the official board of St. James Methodist Episcopal Church, Cedarville, the site of which church he had presented to the congregation. During the Civil War, he twice enlisted in the State's defense, first being a private in Co. D, 42d Regt., Pa. Vol. Militia. Politically he was a Whig, Republican, and Prohibitionist. He cast his first presidential vote for Henry Clay; was a member of the School Board; active in temperance and anti-slavery movements, a station of the "underground railway" being at his home, where many slaves were assisted to freedom.1
