In der Tageszeitung DIE RHEINPFALZ vom 14.06.1983 und in der Zeitschrift für Ausdauersport CONDITION Nr.4 08/1983 erschienen Berichte über seine 13. erfolgreiche Teilnahme am 100km-Lauf in Biel-Bienne (Schweiz), bei der er noch im Alter von 81 Jahren seine sportliche Leistungsfähigkeit bewies.
     
Anläßlich seines 85.Geburtstages wurde Dr.Adolf Weidmann mit dem Wappen-teller der Verbandsgemeinde Glan-Münchweiler geehrt. Die Gemeinde gratulierte ihm zur 16. erfolgreichen Teilnahme am Bieler 100km-Lauf, bei der er als ältester Teilnehmer in 21 Stunden das Ziel erreichte.
     
Dr. Adolf Weidmann verfaßte viele Berichte zur Geschichte der Familie MUNZINGER, die in den Familienchroniken veröffentlicht wurden. Über "Die Munzingerfamilie in Quirnbach im 19.Jahrhundert" erschien im WESTRICHKALENDER KUSEL 1987 ein familiengeschichtlich sehr interessanter Artikel.
