EAST PEORIA - Margaret Rose Lippert, 84, of 107 N. Hawthorne, formerly of 309 Albert St., Creve Coeur, died at 4 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

Born Feb. 10, 1920, in Havana to Thomas I and Mildred R. Hendee Boggs, she married Dorman Donald Lippert on Sept. 8, 1937, in Keokuk, Iowa. He died Nov. 28, 1998, in Morton.

Surviving are three daughters, Millie (and Vernon) Jackson of Pekin, Cathy (and David) Forden of East Peoria and Susie (and Jim) Ackerman of Morton; two sons, Mike (and Karol) of Mackinaw and John of East Peoria; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda (and Tom) Gilson of East Peoria; and one brother, Thomas (and Priscilla) Boggs of Monrovia, Calif.

She was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Creve Coeur.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur chapel. The Rev. Donald Zumwalt will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.

She was a member of City View Baptist Church where she was treasurer of the Joy Class for over 30 years. Jewel had a great faith in God that was shown throughout her life. Always happy and loving, she always had a kind word to say about everyone. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening. She was also preceded in death by her son, Clyde Wayne Stephens and three brothers, J. L. Bohannon, Jack Bohannon and Floyd Bohannon.

She is survived by her four children, Marla Jean Westerfield and husband Russell of Wichita Falls, Sandra Kay Jansen and husband Steven of North Bend, Oregon, Johnny Ray Stephens, and Judy Spalti and husband Rodney all of Wichita Falls; nine grandchildren, David, Lisa, Amy, Bradley, Sam, Shelly, Jason, Justin, and Alisha; seven great-grandchildren, Macey, Andrew, Lindsay, Cassidy, Cooper, Jewel, and Jason and her loving dog, Kathy.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
