Harrison H. Wheeler was born on 2 April 1897 at Illinois.1 He was the son of Edward G. Wheeler and Hattie Houghton. Harrison H. Wheeler married Lulu Adell Arnold, daughter of Joseph Strickler Arnold and Agnes Patton, on 16 June 1923 at Stephenson Co., IL.1

Samuel Wheeler, farmer, Section 15, Post Office Boone, was born in Oneida County, New York, June 4, 1826.
In 1833 his parents came to Warren County, Pennsylvania were he was brought up on a farm.
Besides the education derived from the common schools he was obliged to study at home, and when eighteen years of age had qualified himself to teach, and for the twelve years following taught at a winter school, and occasionally taught in the fall and summer, although his principal avocation was, and has been, farming.
In 1854 he moved to Oakland County, Michigan, where he remained until June 1867. He then came to this state and settling where he now resides, owns a farm of eight acres of land.
He has been assessor of the township, with the exception of four years, since 1871. He has also served as school treasurer for the last nine years.
On October 9, 1856, he was married to Miss Esther J. Benjamin, a native of Oakland County, Michigan. They have five children: Ernest A., Amy A., Hattie M., George L. and Frank D. His two daughter were also teachers, Amy A. having taught more or less in last five years.
Mr. Wheeler is a man who has always taken a lively interest in the education of the young and rising generation.
