TAYLORSVILLE- Mrs. Ray Ring, the former Dixie Wike, of Bowling Green, Ky., died Sunday in Nashville, Tenn.
She was born in Taylorsville to the late Mr. and Mrs. Carlie Wike.
Funeral services will be conducted today in Bowling Green, Ky. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Taylorsville Cemetery.
Surviving here are her husband; two sons, Harrison Barrett of Watertown, Mass., and Carlie Barrett of Pourtsmouth, Va; one daughter Joanne Barrett of Pourtsmouth; six sisters, Miss Cecil Wike of Aiken, S.C., Mrs. Elsie Woods of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. V.L. Hinds of Rockingham, Mrs. John Bolan of Rhodhiss, Mrs. H.G. Bost of Campbellsville, Ky., and Mrs. Merl Rufty of Taylorsville.

She was buried in September 1964 at Taylorsville Cemetery, Taylorsville, Alexander Co., NC.

Dorothy Eva Wikoff married Carolus Alton Wade, son of Truman Diller Wade and Estella Leopold, in February 1935. Dorothy Eva Wikoff died on 11 January 2004 at Cecil Co., MD, at age 89.

     Lester Huber Wiland was born in 1904. He was the son of William Leidig Wiland and Florence Dorcas Huber. Lester Huber Wiland died in 1974.

     Paul Edward Wiland was born on 5 December 1928 at Akron, Summit Co., OH. He married Vera Catherine Broadwater, daughter of Walter Scott Broadwater and Sarah Catherine Wilt, at Washington Co., MD. Paul Edward Wiland died on 11 July 2019 at Frostburg, Allegany Co., MD, at age 90. He was buried in July 2019 at Emmanuel Cemetery, Garrett Co., MD.

     Hazel May Wilbanks was born on 20 March 1910 at Omaha, Morris Co., TX. She married Finis Howard Churchwell on 5 November 1924 at Titus Co., TX. Hazel May Wilbanks died in March 1994 at Lake Co. (probably), CA.

     Jeanne Esther Wilber was born on 26 July 1933 at Humphrey, Cattaraugus Co., NY; daughter of Oscar Freeman and Ethel C. (Horton) Wilber. She married Ralph Emery Wilson Jr., son of Ralph Emery Wilson Sr. and Kathryn Leona Ort, on 2 October 1954. Jeanne Esther Wilber died on 30 October 2020 at Olean, Cattaraugus Co., NY, at age 87. She was buried in November 2020 at Five Mile Cemetery, Allegany, Cattaraugus Co., NY, Findagrave #217930530.

     William Wilbor married Sarah Tallman, daughter of Peter Tallman and Ann Hill, circa 1684, 12 children to this marriage.

     Dr. Sophia Johanna Wilborg married Dr. Arthur Henry Brumback, son of Thomas Benton Brumback and Abigail Daniels Southwick. Dr. Sophia Johanna Wilborg was born on 27 April 1860 at Quebec, Canada.

     Note: Amy was previously married to William Straw. Amy O. Wilbur was born on 23 August 1863. She was the daughter of Charles W. Wilbur and Virginia Morgan. Amy O. Wilbur married Isaac Lewis Anderson, son of James Wiley Anderson and Catherine M. Payne, after 1898. Amy O. Wilbur died on 19 February 1918 at Washington Co., IN, at age 54.

     Charles W. Wilbur married Virginia Morgan.

     Ellen L. Wilbur was born on 30 June 1841 at Clarksville, Albany Co., NY. She married Capt. Charles Anderson Slocum. Ellen L. Wilbur died in 1912 at Floyd Co., IA. She was buried in 1912 at Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, Floyd Co., IA, Findagrave #34653513.

Freda Mae Satterfield, 90, of Bainbridge, Ohio died on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio.
She was born May 19, 1929 in Spargursville, Ohio, daughter of the late Fred and Flossie Yoakem Wilburn.
On August 29, 1946 she was united in marriage to John Satterfield who preceded her in death on December 27, 2010.
Surviving are two sons, Randy Satterfield and wife Katie of Latham, Ohio and Rick Satterfield and wife Crystal of Bethel, Ohio; daughter, Phyllis Anderson and husband Mike of Chillicothe, Ohio; daughter in law, Vicki Satterfield of Bainbridge; 8 grandchildren, Aaron Satterfield and wife Amanda, Adam Satterfield and wife Bethany, Jeremy Satterfield and wife Jennifer, Ryan Satterfield and wife Chelsea, Rebecca Ross and husband Robbie, Gavin Anderson and wife Brittany, Charles Satterfield and Donna Satterfield and 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Freda was preceded in death by a son, Steve Satterfield and two sisters, Blanche Husted and Bessie Nace.

Freda was a member of Morgantown Church of Christ in Christian Union and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Satterfield and Rev. Adam Satterfield officiating.
Burial will follow in Washburn Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Wilburn, Fred 83 years old, of State Route, Latham died at 6:20 a.m. Monday in the Pike County Hospital, where he had been a patient since Saturday. He was rushed to the hospital Saturday by the Emergency Squad.

Mr. Wilburn was a retired farmer, born on December 3, 1890 near Bourneville, a son of Moses & Alphe (Sherrow) Wilburn.

In June, 1918, he married the former Flossie Yoakum, who survives at home.

Also surviving are three daughters; 11 grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; one brother, of Bainbridge; and two sisters.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. wylie Funeral Home in Sinking Springs, with Rev. Tom Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Washburn Cemetery, near byington. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 until 9 p.m. Wednesday.

     Rev. Wilbur Washington Wilcke was born on 22 February 1900 at Van Buren, Jackson Co., IA. He was the son of Fred H. Wilche and Catherine Hanson. Rev. Wilbur Washington Wilcke married Lucille Margariete Fulrath, daughter of George W. Fulrath and Nellie Mae Bolton, circa 1920. Rev. Wilbur Washington Wilcke lived in 1930 at Percifer Twp., Knox Co., IL, census p.3A. He died in January 1976 at Rock Falls, Whiteside Co., IL, at age 75.

Corvallis, Dec. 14.--Special.) – Miss Arvilla Bessie Wilcocks and William Ray Talman (sic) were united in marriage Wednesday at the home of the bride on Mountain View. The house was tastefully decorated for the occasion in evergreens, narcissus and white carnations. At 10 o’clock in the presence of 20 intimate friends and relatives, the ring service of the Methodist Episcopal church was read by Rev. T. B. Reagan. The bride was given away by her father, C. R. Wilcocks, and her only brother, Master Jeffrey Wilcocks, acted as page. Little Miss Martha Reagan was a dandy and winsome flower girl. The bride was handsomely attired in a gown of white brocaded satin trimmed in rare lace. At the conclusion of the service, the christening of little Jeffrey Wilcocks occurred, after which a delectable wedding breakfast was served.

The happy couple left on the afternoon train for Simms, where they will take up their residence on the ranch of the groom. Mrs. Talman (sic) is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Wilcocks, and is a young woman possessed of charm and beauty. The groom is an enterprising young rancher, who resided here several years ago, but who for some time has made his home at Simms, Mont.
