They were married on July 28, 1928 and moved to Granville sometime after marriage.
The family story is that Hud's (as he was called) father kind of lost it after his wife died and the younger children had to be raised by the older siblings. Hud ended up opening a Chevrolet car dealship in downtown Granville, but he died from a heart attack in 1961 and the dealership closed soon thereafter. He also bought an old sand/gravel quarry at the edge of town a few years before his death and turned it into a swimming area in 1958 known as Lake Hudson. The widow of Alexander Lilley, San Francisco business man, who died in 1925, she married Captain Maurice Fitzharding Barclay, formerly of the British Royal Horse Artillery, in 1932. He survives her.
Other survivors are a son, Neil Lilley of New York; a daughter, Mrs. Irwin Hartzel of San Francisco, and a sister, Mrs. Hannah Williams Wheeler of Pebble Beach.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Santa Barbara Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Richard Flagg Ayers of Trinity Episcopal Church officiating.

Other survivors are a son, Neil Lilley of New York; a daughter, Mrs. Irwin Hartzel of San Francisco, and a sister, Mrs. Hannah Williams Wheeler of Pebble Beach.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Santa Barbara Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Richard Flagg Ayers of Trinity Episcopal Church officiating.
She was buried in August 1956 at Santa Barbara Cemetery, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Co., CA, Findagrave #86085098.
