Thomas Williamson1

     Thomas Williamson was born on 12 June 1864 at Perry Township, Armstrong Co., PA. He was the son of John Williamson and Cordelia Wheeler.1 Thomas Williamson died on 26 March 1907 at Armstrong Co., PA, at age 42 Year of death could be off by one year either way.

OBITUARY (newspaper unknown):
Thomas Williamson died at the home of his mother, Mrs. C. Williamson of Grant Street, on Sunday evening, Mar. 26th, after a long illness of a complication of stomach and kidney trouble.

The deceased was born and reared in Perry Township, Armstrong County, where he resided all his life until last fall when he removed with his mother to East Brady. He was in his fortieth year, and before disease had weakened his powerful frame he was a man of prodigious strength. He could hold out with ease a fifty pound weight in either hand at the same time, and he was also able to lift an ordinary sized horse by getting his shoulders under the animal. For several years prior to his death he had been in ill health, and suffered great pain at times.

The funeral services were held at the late residence on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. P. Marshall, of Presbyterian church, of which congregations Mr. Williamson was a member, and the body was laid to rest in the Brady's Bend cemetery beside his wife and child who had preceded him to the grave several years ago.

Mr. Williamson is survived by his mother, four sisters, and two brothers, all of whom were present at the funeral except one brother who was unable to attend on account of illness in his family.

The out of town relatives attending the funeral were as follows: Mrs. Thomas Morrison, Lima, Ohio; Mrs. John Bird, Bradford; Samuel Williamson, Pittsburgh.

He was buried in March 1907 at Brady's Bend Cemetery, Brady's Bend Twp., Armstrong Co., PA, Buried beside his wife and a child who pre-deceased him.
