Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law — Larry and Martha Wimpee, Bobby and Shelvy Wimpee and Jerry Wimpee, all of Bowling Green; three sisters — Hallie Holmes and Dorothy Reece, both of Bowling Green, and Ruby Wilson, Marietta, Ga; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Patsy Wimpee and Charles and Wanda Wimpee, all of Bowling Green; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A sister, Clarine Woods, preceded him in death.

Burial was at the Bowling Green Gardens.
