Found Body In Hocking River
Nelsonville, OH, April 11---The body of Henry WINDLE (error -- it was John) who has been missing for seven weeks was found today in the Hocking River a short distance below the "Dug Out". Men working at a small mine near this point discovered the body which was removed to Stout's undertaking establishment. The family consisting of the widow and several chidren live on Jackson street.
Mr. WINDLE started to his home on Jackson street from the business district of the city seven weeks ago which was the last seen of him. Whether or not the deceased committed suicide by jumping into the river near his house and the body washed to the point where it was found will probably remain a mystery. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Conducted Investigation
Coroner Johnson at Nelsonville yesterday conducted an investigation to the death of John R. WENDLE 63, whose badly decomposed body was found in the Hocking River at Doanville yesterday. WENDLE was last seen leaving Nelsonville on the night of February 13. It is supposed that he was intoxicated and walked into the river. A bottle of whiskey was found in his clothing. The body was identified by clothing only.
He leaves a wife and a number of children by three marriages.
