She was born Aug. 10, 1918, the daughter of George T. and Clara M. (Wade) Wood in Helena.
Georgie was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Fred Vincent; her brother Charlie (Barney) Wood; sisters, Dorothy Griffin, Beryl Wood, Ilene Kline; her granddaughter, Melissa Davis and her great granddaughter, Melissa Poepping.
She is survived by her husband Dean of Helena; her brother, George Wood of Oregon; sisters, Alice Oberg of Aloha, Ore., Helen Smith of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Clarice Boomer of Anacortes, Wash; daughter and sons-in-law, Joyce and Will Poepping of Helena and Bonnie and John Jepson of Est Helena; 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin Wednesday at the Retz Funeral Home at noon. Funeral services will be conducted at the Chapel on Thursday at 2 p.m. with burial to follow in Forestvale Cemetery.
