VII-7869- SARAH SAMANTHA PRICE (7843) b. near Mt. Morris, Ill., Jan 1, 1860; d. March 15, 1916; married April 1, 1885, by Rev. Melchoir Newcome, Rev. John E., son of Abram and Louise (Sowerman) Young, b. Dec 28, 1855. Mr. Young was elected to the ministry in the Church of the Brethren, Oct. 12, 1879. They resided at Beatrice, Neb. He is now (1924) at 911 7th Ave., N., St. Petersburg, Fla.
     Rev. W. J. Swigart in "Gospel Messenger" of Feb 9, 1924, says: "Elder J. E. Young has been a resident of the city (St Petersburg) for some years and takes fatherly interest in all the members here. Brother Young gives his attention to preaching to prisoners and other unfortunates, and works at carpentering to pay expenses. He is out at the prisons and reform schools of the State nearly every Sunday and preaches there and distributes Bibles. He has a tactful and successful method of getting the people to read the Bibles he leaves with them."
