     George Zimmer was also known as George Gephart listed as George Gephart on the 1880 and 1900 censuses, George Zimmer with a strike-through on the surname on the 1910. There is an Ohio Births and Christenings record of his birth, naming both parents. DLB 2018. He was born on 4 July 1874 at Montgomery Co., OH.¹ He was the son of George A. Zimmer and Florence S. Hipple.¹ Occupation: Body maker in carriage factory in 1900.¹

     George A. Zimmer was born circa 1845 at Ohio son of Jacob and Marie (Shenske) Zimmer, twin of Jacob Charles Zimmer. Late information and headstone show birth in 1848, however his parents listed him and Jacob as age 15 on the 1860 census, between a 17-year old sister and 13-year old sister, so 1845 is the likely birth year.
