He was the son of George Washington Young and Temperance Deriah Merchant.1 William Hensley Young married Bertha May Robbins, daughter of Elmer Leroy Robbins and Amanda Aretta Barnes, on 19 August 1903 at Bedford, Taylor Co., IA. William Hensley Young lived on 8 January 1920 at Hopkins, Nodaway Co., MO, manager, retail lumber yard.2 He died on 25 October 1964 at Clarinda, Page Co., IA, at age 82

Funeral services for William H. [ensley] Young, long time Bedford resident, held October 28 at Shum-Novinger Funeral Home, were conducted by Rev. J. Milton Kinney, local Methodist minister. Mr. Young died Oct. 25 at Clarinda Municipal Hospital at the age of 82 years, 10 months and six days. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Bedford.

On August 19, 1903, he was married to Bertha May Robbins in Bedford, Iowa. To this union six children were born, five sons and a daughter.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Marion M. [arlon] Young, Council Bluffs, Iowa; a daughter, Florence A. Strubel, Council Bluffs, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
He has been in poor health for several years. On May 29, 1956, he suffered a stroke and was left a semi-invalid. On October 5, 1964, he entered the Clarinda Municipal Hospital for surgery and passed away 20 days later.
He was a carpenter by trade. He worked under his father, and later he went into business for himself. In later years he returned to carpentering on his own.
He was a devoted husband and a loving father. His presence in our midst will be greatly missed.
He was buried in October 1964 at Fairview Cemetery, Bedford, Taylor Co., IA, Findagrave #36471824.
