Mrs. Myrtle M. Diviney, 80, Hanover and widow of Thurman Hawthorne Diviney, died Tuesday evening at Hanover Hospital.
Before her retirement in 1965, Mrs. Diviney taught at public school in Hanvoer and Southwestern Districts.
She was a member of York County and Pennsylvania chapters of Retired Public Shcool Employes. She also belonged to AARP of York County and St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Thomas Diviney, West Chester; Ellis Diviney, New Oxford; Mrs. Lorna Biddle, Orlando Fla; Mrs. Nancy Blickenstaff, Laverne, Calif., 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister and brother, Mrs. Alma Bair, Hanover and Lloyd Bortner, Hanover.
Her pastor, Rev. Dr. Arthur L. Ruths, will officiate at funeral services at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Wetzel Funeral Home, Hanover. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanvoer.

In December 2012 research of his letters from the civil war, Cyrus was found as a member of the Benton Cadets from Missouri. He enlisted in the late fall of 1861 and was discharged in Feb. 1862. He then entered into Co. K, 80th OVI mustering out in 1865. He lived on Buck Road in Knox Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, in the house built by his father in the late 1840's.

He married Phoebe Ella Brosius, daughter of Septimus K. Brosius and Mary Lee Starr, in 1866. Capt. Cyrus W. Borton died on 28 April 1906 at Columbiana Co., OH, at age 69. He was buried in May 1906 at Quaker Hill Cemetery, Sebring, Mahoning Co., OH, Findagrave #6940912.

Mr. Harmon A. Boss, 56, Route 3, Mt. Sterling, died at 10 a.m. yesterday in Mt. Carmel Hospital, Columbus.

He was born March 21, 1905, the son of Howard H. and Zeltha (sic) Toops Boss.

Mr. Boss was a member of the Mt. Sterling Knights of Pythias Lodge.

He is survived by his widow, Thelma; one daughter, Mrs. Joan McConnell, near Mt. Sterling; his father, Howard H. Boss, near Mt. Sterling, four sisters, Mrs. Gladys McCarley, Briggsdale; Mrs. Bessie Williams, Orient; Mrs. Evelyn Longberry, Circleville; and Mrs. Opal Miller, Columbus; two brothers, Cecil Boss, Five Points, and Willard Boss of Cleves, Ohio.

Services will be 10 a.m. tomorrow in Snyder Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling. Burial will be in Pleasant Cemetery.
