     The funeral of Lorenzo Brown took place Friday forenoon from the residence of his son, John Brown, north of [this] city. Albert Bennett of DePauw Memorial church, conducting the services. The remains were taken to Wilsons Switch for burial.¹

     Maggie M. Brown was born in January 1898. She was the daughter of Walter H. Brown and Leota May Windle.

Mamie Mae Petete
Mamie Mae Petete, 320 South Bullitt, died Wednesday in Boyce Manor Nursing Home at the age of 77. She
was born in Berry County, Mo. Dec. 27, 1905. She came to Oklahoma as a small child to the Yeager area and moved to Holdenville in 1918. She was married to Cecil C. Petete in 1923. He preceded her in death Aug.5, 1976. Survivors are one son, James of the home; one daughter, Mary Evelyn Wilson of Holdenville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Nellie Middleton of Holdenville and one daughter-in-law Mary Thelma Petete.
One son preceded her in death July 25, 1969. Funeral services will be in the Church of the Nazarene Friday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Billy Duncan officiating
assisted by Meredith Robinson. Burial will be Holdenville Cemetery, under direction of Hudson Funeral Home.
