Obituary -- (Findagrave.com):
Former Perry resident Ruby Maxine Harlow,78, most recently of Stillwater passed from this life on Saturday, October 25, 2014 with her family by her side.
Ruby Maxine Brown was born on August 28, 1936 to Harvey and Lula (Joy) Brown in Woodward, OK. She was raised in the Mulhall area and graduated from the Mulhall-Orlando High School.
Shortly after her graduation she began dating a local soldier and in 1954 she married George Harlow Sr.
She devoted her life to being a mother and she raised six wonderful children. George was a truck driver and was gone most of the week, leaving Ruby to raise her six children by herself for at least 5 days a week and Ruby gladly did so. She cooked, cleaned, and even made the clothes the kids wore, although her eye for trend fashion was sometimes questioned by her kids. She was very stubborn, independent, and she loved to laugh.
When she had free time, Ruby enjoyed reading novels, watching NASCAR, Oral Roberts’, soap operas, and listening to her old time country music. She had a quiet nature about her unless she was watching OK State or Dallas Cowboys football.
Ruby was an ornery woman who loved attending social activities with her kids, and rarely missed a chance to go camping at Perry Lake or at the Moose Lodge Campground at Lake Carl Blackwell.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Harlow Sr., four siblings: Pearl Shelton, Richard Day, Lewis Day, and Meryle Barnes. She was also preceded by a daughter in law Sandy Shrum Harlow and a son in law Bruce Burleson.
Ruby is survived by six children: George (Gerri) Harlow Jr., Betty Burleson, Helen (Jim) Slavens, Richard (Lisa Ward) Harlow, Denham (Beverly) Harlow, and Beverly (Rick) Burkett. 15 Grandchildren: Judy, John, MiKayla, Preston, and Jesse Harlow, Josh, Shelby, and Lacey Ward, Deanna Lewis, Vanessa Codner, Tyler, Nicholas, and Hannah Burkett, Kenny and T.A. Kukuk. Ruby was also survived by 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perry and a funeral service for Ruby Harlow will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Perry.
Burial will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28th from 9:00am to8:00pm.

Obituary -- (Findagrave.com):
Smith C. Brown, son of Levi and Louisa Brown, was born December 27, 1858, in Fulton County, Illinois and departed this life November 26, 1913, at Tryon, Neb. Had he lived until December 27, he would have been 55 years of age. At the age of six years he moved with his parents to Story county, Iowa, where he resided until four years ago when he moved with his family to Tryon, McPherson county, Neb. He was united in marriage to Mary E. McClees, at Nevada, Iowa, April 23, 1890. To this union four children were born, namely: Mrs. Bertha S. Spencer, Bessie R. Brown, Charlie S. Brown, and George M. Brown all of Tryon, Neb. Besides these he leaves to mourn his death, his wife, one granddaughter, Leona Spencer, and two sisters, Mrs. Lucy O'Connor of Hat Creek, Wyo., and Mrs. Laura Downing of Collins, Iowa, besides many relatives and friends. At the age of 26 years he united with the United Brethren Church, near Collins, Iowa, and remained a faithful member until death. Funeral services were held Friday morning at 10 o'clock conducted by Rev. W. H. Zenor, assisted by Rev. Chas. A. Shook. Interment in the Miller Cemetery.
Deceased was a charter member of Sunbeam Lodge, Mystic Workers of the World, the members of which deeply regret his departure. Further notes from the widow: "Mr. Brown died of paralysis. He has complained for five years, and during the past six months was not able to work. He was under the doctor's care most of the past summer. He has been bedfast since October 28 and remained in bed until he passed away. Mrs. Elsworth Downing and Lloyd Brown were at his bedside when he died, along with me and the children. The interment was in the Miller Cemetery, about ten miles from our home. He was so patient in his sickness and was willing and ready to meet his God, which is a great comfort to us, although the loss is hard to bear and it is so lonely without him."
He was buried in 1913 at Miller Cemetery, Tryon, McPherson Co., NE, Findagrave #27750342.
