of 76. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Nazarene church with Rev. Denny Baylor officiating.
Burial will be in Holdenville cemetery, under direction of Hudson Funeral Home. Mrs. Middleton was born Non. 14, 1909 in Berry County, Mo. She moved to the Yeager community as a
young girl. She had lived most of her life in the Holdenville area. She was married to Oliver (Slats) Middleton in Wewoka May 2, 1931. He preceded her in death Jan. 17, 1985. Survivors include two sons, Wayne and daughter-in-law Yvonne Middleton, Okmulgee, and Gary Middleton, Tulsa; three grandchildren; Sherry Dossey, Okmulgee; Tracy and Ginger Middleton, and their mother, Karen Kaffer, Tulsa; one great-grandson, Stephen Wayne Dossey, Okmulgee; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Pauline and Roland Adams, Oklahoma City; Opal Middleton of Holdenville; Carmen Middleton of Holdenville and Veneta Middleton of Walnut, CA.

Pearl Lucille Shelton, age 72, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Green Valley Nursing Home, Perry, Oklahoma. She was born May 14, 1938 in Woodward, Oklahoma. Her parents were Harve and Lula (Joy) Brown.

On November 25, 1957 she was united in marriage to Otis "Duke" Murl Shelton in Perry, OK. Duke and Pearl were proud of the fact they were married over 50 years. He passed away September 21, 2009.

Pearl was a homemaker. She cleaned new houses for the lumber yard, later she worked as a sales clerk for Sorrell Lumber Yard from 1980-1992. Following her clerk position, she washed dishes at Sooner's Corner until she retired.

Her favorite pastimes were watching her grandsons play in their sports activities, working on jigsaw puzzles and word puzzles. She loved her country music.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Shelton and Debbie Yenor and husband Bobby all of Perry, Oklahoma; one sister, Ruby Harlow, Stillwater, OK; two grandsons, Brad and Brian Yenor, her pet Chihuahua dog, Cocoa and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, "Duke", a twin sister, Meryle Barnes, and two brothers, Lewis and Richard Day.

Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011 at First Christian Church, Perry, Oklahoma with Martin Foster officiating.

Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, OK.

She was buried in May 2011 at Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, Noble Co., OK, Findagrave #69675708.
