Ober, Marilyn, 92, of Springfield, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013 in her residence. She was born in Greenville, Ohio on April 13, 1921 the daughter of Charles Jesse and Leona Pearl (Sebring) Bruss. She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse at Ethan Allen Manor and the K of P Home. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle and enjoyed playing Tripoly with her friends. Survivors include her seven children and spouses, John C. Ober, Peg (Larry) Brake, Joe (Marcie) Ober, Mark (Mary Carney) Ober, Marianne Ober, Doug (Colleen) Ober and Tom (Kristen) Ober all of Springfield; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1995 and her son, James in 1996. The family would like to thank Community Mercy Hospice for all their care and support. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund.
